    I think the series finale should be.... that Homer dies.

    And make it very realistic and sad, so the audience cries hard and is forever changed!

    Homer is still lovable; it's the new seasons that are less lovable in comparison to the old ones (IMO). But his philosophies on life always gives me laughs.

    they should kill him, and place him in an afterlife of sorts where he can make meta-commentary on the state of the show, along with all the other dead characters, and a variety of alternate universe selves (black smithers, lester and eliza, season 1 background characters etc.).

    then kill off other characters slowly and have them move into the afterlife. the series finale will show the afterlife explode.

    actually he died in season 1, his suicide attempt in homer's oddyssey was successful and the rest of the series is his afterlife

    it explains why there's all these dead celebrities walking around, why the world trade center is still standing in the "present", why he can never die, and why nobody ages (homer's memory preserved them all at the age they were when he died)

    Homer shouldn't die! I mean, sure he has gotten stupider over the years, but he's still one of the stars! I do kind of dislike how he doesn't care that much about his family anymore: in the first season he was a bumbling idiot father that tried to make his family look good!
