i can't fall asleep without watching tv. i need the warm glowing warming glow of television. it helps me doze off. without tv, i'm up forever, unable to sleep. and no the tv doesn't stay on all night. i put it in sleep mode. an hour after i fall asleep, it turns off, no fuss, no muss.

so how do you guys sleep?

how do your turn off the tv if your asleep? unless you have a butler come in and do it for you, in which case that sounds creepy, where does he live? is he trustworthy? sounds wrong in any instance

I sleep without the TV on. If I'm at a friend's house and they have it on, I deal with it, but usually it just keeps me up. Even if I'm watching a show/episode of a show I've seen numerous times, I still stay up and will watch.

When I was younger I always slept with the tv on, then I went through a phase of sleeping in the dark, then I'd just put the sleep on my tv to automatically shut off in an hour or two, but then I got the cable box and couldn't put that to sleep so now I usually sleep with it on again but I don't even know why really.

There's usually a "sleep timer" on TVs. That's how I usually do it, I turn the sleeper on for about a 30 minutes and I'm out before the tv is.

Fan on for white noise and cool air. TV and lights gotta be off but if they aren't I just put the pillow over my head. My fiance is usually good about turning down the sound/brightness if he's using anything while I'm sleeping.

I use that nifty timer thing and if I don't fall asleep by the time it goes off I reset it.
