That was his first tweet which I think is pretty funny but, I agree, all the rest are pretty dire. I hate to bad mouth the guy as he's responsible for so many of my favorite episodes but hell... THE EMPEROR WEARS NO CLOTHES!!!! There, I've said it.

I guess that provides a date as to when I stopped paying attention the The Simpsons. I didn't even know he'd stopped writing for The Simpsons. Does he still work as a consultant? As for his tweets, I can't help but hear Rainier Wolfcastle saying "that is the joke" after each one.

Does this seem really surreal to anyone else though? Swartzwelder always seemed like this mysterious, almost mythical figure to me. Seems a bit odd for him to be on Twitter.
