This article based on nine of the best of the post-classic era

...has made me lose a little faith in humanity.

Not just the list, but this comment, among others as well at the bottom of the list:

Many People have said that THE SIMPSONS "jumped the Shark" (a reference to TV's Fonzie, on "Happy Days") long ago, but I do not believe this is the case. It is always FUNNY when Homer Simpson belches and farts, plus the "celebrity guests" never gets old. They should have a Celebrity Guest of Danny Most (who was Ralph Malph of "Happy Days")-that would CERTAINLY keep the show fresh!
^ I honestly hope this is sarcasm.

I sincerely think the list was made by 5 year old kids who for their age have amazing typing skills, but don't have a good sense of humor.

If you grade on the Brando curve, weak Simpsons is still some nice cartoonin’, boy. That we can even talk about the show this way is high praise in itself. In any case, it’s unfair to expect each and every season to match the show’s glory years, which produced some of the best … comedy … ever. This is no mere television show; it is television, typed the critic, knowing in his bones that The Simpsons said it first.
    Very scary and confusing.

I think that comment was sarcasm.

Kind of a strange selection of episodes, although I wouldn't call any of them awful, I'd probably give most of them C's. The only ones that I think were really great (and would be in my top 100) are Eternal Moonshine and Holidays.

For those who can't see the slideshow:

    -Tales From the Public Domain
-How I Spent My Strummer Vacation
    -Moe Baby Blues
    -Today, I Am a Clown
    -All's Fair In Oven War
    -Treehouse of Horror XVII
-Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind
    -Politically Inept, With Homer Simpson
    -Holidays of Future Passed
    Season 24: Moonshine River: C | Treehouse of Horror XXIII: B- | Adventures in Baby-Getting: B+ | Gone Abie Gone: C+ | Penny-Wiseguys: D+ | A Tree Grows in Springfield: C- | The Day the Earth Stood Cool: B+ | To Cur With Love: B+ | Homer Goes to Prep School: C | A Test Before Trying: B- | The Changing of the Guardian: C+ | Love is a Many-Splintered Thing: C | Hardly Kirk-ing: B- | Gorgeous Grampa: B+ | Black-Eyed, Please: B- | Dark Knight Court: B- | What Animated Women Want: C | Pulpit Friction: B- | Whiskey Business: C | The Fabulous Faker Boy: C | The Saga of Carl Carlson: B- | Dangers on a Train: B+

    My Season Rankings: 4, 7, 5, 6, 8, 3, 2, 9, 1, 15, 14, 16, 10, 13, 21, 20, 17, 19, 23, 22, 12, 18, 11

I thought the list was fair,

It had Eternal Moonshine, Moe Baby Blues and HoFP which are all great episodes..

The rest ranges from Decent to Slightly above average.

Tales From the Public Domain is not appreciated nearly enough. I'm glad to see it on the list.

It's seen pretty frequently in post-classic era lists, I thought.

Also, I got pretty pissed at the "Politically Inept" choice. One of the worst episodes the show ever did.

"Politically Inept" is the shit stain on an otherwise decent list of episodes.

    Seasons 1-9 - Classic era
    10-12 - Scully era
    13-16 - Silver age
    16.5 - Into the abyss
    17 - The shit abyss
    18-24 - Zombie Simpsons

Well, since we've already discussed the list, lets just talk about how retarded the commenters are!

Politically Inept was possibly my least favourite episode ever, being English makes it worse cause all the US political stuff goes over me noggin, so I didn't really get it.

It's more about the obnoxious media blowhards like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. If you don't know who they are, be glad.

Their names ring a bell, but still we aren't really exposed to them, maybe I need to scour wikipedia and watch the episode again.
