    Corn Pops (SFW)

    ...And other cereal.

When I was younger, my parents would never let us have sugared cereal, the closest I could get was Honey Nut Cheerios. It wasn't a huge deal because a lot of those "plain" cereals (Cheerios, Rice Krispies, Kix) were all still good, but I was always jealous of my classmates who could have Frosted Flakes or Froot Loops or whatever. One of the mini-highlights of vacations would always be getting those 6-packs of mini-cereal boxes that would have the delicious sugar stuff.

When I went off to college, some people enjoyed the booze and the partying and the the booze. But me? I was there for the Cocoa Krispies.

    What say you, cereal lovers?

Honestly one of the things I wanted to do growing up was go on Supermarket Sweep and take nothing but cereal from the shelves. When I have my own kitchen an entire cupboard will be devoted to all the different cereals I love. I eat almost any cereal. Even puffins.

Ah, yeah, Supermarket Sweep. I used to randomly watch that when I was younger... They would always fill their carts with stuff like diapers or hams or whatever. I guess taking cereal would give a bad score or whatever, but what would those people do with a cartful of hams and diapers?

I tried Cinnamon Corn Pops. It's okay but the original is better.

I remember being a mere child and decided that mixing Lucky Charms, Nesquik, Corn Pops and Fruit Loops together was a good idea. It turned out to be quite the morning bowl!

Nowadays I eat Special K or Corn Flakes when I actually bother with breakfest.

I almost never eat cereal, and when I do, it has to be dry; I hate milk.

My favorite cereal is likely Rice Krispies. So fucking good...

I had Honey Nut Cheerios as a kid quite often but it took years to eat the regular ones which, at times, are much better.

Strangely enough when I was younger I was allowed to have Golden Grahams, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Frosted Flakes etc. but Lucky Charms were (no pun intended) totally off limits. Now I just stick with boring old Cheerios.

Golden Grahams...been a while since I had that!

Damn you eric, I'll probably get some now! This thread has also reminded me of that alphabet cereal. Do they still exist?!

I miss finding waldo on the back of the Life box. Hands down best idea for the back of a cereal box.

I love kix, rice krispeis, "honey nut", honey bunches of oats, raisin bran, etc. (I go to Post, so I'm basically a cereal eater rather than drinker also)

I remember at camp when I was like 11, you had to grab all those mini-cereal packs out of this bin during breakfast, and cinnamon toast crunch was like the holy grail if you could get it

'We are the Freakies, we are the freakies, we live the Freakies tree!'

    And...

'King Vitamin, have breakfast with the King, King Vitamin, have breakfast with the King!'

Quisp and Quake then Quake's Quangeroos, Jean La Foote's Cinnamon Crunch, the Swedish Chef Croonchy Stars, Pink Panther Flakes, Barn Von Raspberry and Sir Grapefellow, Breakfast With Barbie...that's about it.

Also: remember cutting out cardboard records (the Archies and the Jackson Five) from the backs of cereal boxes.

Bought from eBay years ago: Josie and the Pussycats breakfast sppons and pencil toppers.

whoever at general mills decided to sacrifice taste for whole grain needs to die. they ruined so many of their cereals. especially chocolate lucky charms.

    that said, rice krispies. chocolate.
