I Always Want To Be Eaten
Would This Have Been Too Much For A Simpsons Script?
A week or two ago I tweeted that I was working on a Simpsons script and I was going to post it on here. I was really bored at the time and this was at my new house so I didn't have internet on my laptop, so I figured I could write a script. However, when I started it, it seemed like it might be a little too much for Simpsons, so I switched the character's names and made it a script for one of my future show ideas.
It started off as a 'anything goes' script. Characters would say random lines, random stuff would happen for no apparent reason, etc. That was going to be the episode. But it needed a plot.
Homer is insulted by the guys at Moe's, again about his intelligence. This time he reacts differently. He realizes he may truly be the dumbest person in all of Springfield. So, he goes out to try to find someone who is dumber, and will want to hang out with him. He meets a man who is in fact dumber than Homer, and it turns out the man has a learning disability. The man had been teased all his life about it and he even thought about suicide. But Homer thinks the man is faking it and that he likes the ridicule because it makes him 'one of the guys.' Marge tries to lecture Homer about how wrong that sounds and Homer realizes in the end that he was wrong.
The reason I didn't post this was because it wasn't as funny as it could've been for this show, and because a lot of it didn't make any sense. Would this be too far though? Take away the man contemplating suicide and it seems like it could work; Homer insults people with learning disabilities and realizes he's in the wrong. I dunno.

disco fuck yourself
It's fanfiction, don't worry about trying to match the show, it's your own wild piece.
