I want more Willie, Sea Captain, and even Crazy Cat Lady. I think she has the potential to be a great character if done right.

  3. #33

Crazy Cat Lady could be an interesting character if she were crazy, but not THAT crazy. One of her best moments was in Springfield Up when they showed her 'normal' personality in the past and then, suddenly, her crazy, present self . That was funny, dramatic and dark at the same time. The story about how she became crazy could be interesting. But in her present self she's just a wacky woman who shouts and does strange things with cats. That's funnier in small doses. Sometimes it's not even funny in small doses. The attempts at giving her a subplot like when they showed her as a hoarder weren't especially succesful at developing her character. She's a one joke character and maybe that's ok for some scenes but they should keep her in really small doses.

Maybe if she were senile but capable of articulating her thoughts and/or remember aspects of her life she could be used for a decent subplot, but then she would be Mrs. Glick, not Crazy Cat Lady. Thinking about it Mrs Glick is kind of an underused character, I thought she was shown to be a funny/interesting character in Three Men And A Comic Book. Probably more interesting than Agnes Skinner.

Yeah i've always wanted more Herman (even if he sounds a lot like Flanders). So much potential that was just tossed away. I mean he's still there as a background character in a lot of the HD episodes but he never talks.

Oh and we need another story with Uncle Herb! Danny Devito stop voicing Lorax's and being Frank Reynolds for a moment and come do one more guest voice on The Simpsons.

Also I'd like to see a showdown between Mona (is she even alive? probably in some weird bleeding effect from Homer's dream) and Herb

Dr Hibbert's never had a storyline devoted to him.

Would like to see Hans Moleman developed further. Maybe in small doses throughout several episodes.

She's dead, but I agree, that would make a good episode. We definitely need an update on Herb. I wouldn't mind if he was more of a recurring character.

Charlie, he and Bart had great scenes together in what was a fantastic heart warming episode and being the only lad in a family of girls, one I can relate to.

I would love to see Herb make the odd appearance, I loved him. Personally, I think the show would benefit from doing a lot more on characters that have been on the show a long time and have never even had a B-Story (or only a short one) devoted to them. eg. Professor Frink, Dr. Hibbert, Disco Stu, Hans Moleman, The Blue Haired Lawyer, Miss Hoover, Eddie and Lou, Arnie Pie, Sideshow Mel, Judge Harm, Jasper. I could go on for a while but those are my main ones.

And Saddlesore. He was also in Test Was Won as well, I think.

Man, they had a thing for Comptroller Atkins.
