Probably either Trash of the Titans or A Tale of Two Springfields. Both episodes portray Homer as an obnoxious screaming moron who spends the entire episode going on some tirade about something stupid and trivial (i.e. trash pick-up, area code changes).

He was sympathetic towards Flanders in some parts of the episode, but he was indirectly responsible for Maude's death, and he barely cared.

He's always been a little bit homophobic, but they exaggerate it here to have Homer learn the lesson.

I think the worst ones, aside from those mentioned are "Kill The Alligator And Run" and "The Mansion Family". Homer's worst seasons are I'd say from 10-12 and 23. I think Homer hadn't been very jerky for most of the Jean Era till now.

I wouldn't say A Tale of Two Springfields is his worse, but Kidney Trouble is definitely a winner. I would say Trash of the Titans as well but I still enjoyed that episode, despite his annoying behaviour

Though okay for most of the episode, one of Homer's worst moments is from Dude Where's My Ranch. The anti-Ned song that Homer writes is a pretty low thing for Homer to do, but he's always been rude to Ned, so I can let the song as a whole slide. However, there's one particular line that strikes me as excessively mean for Homer.

Homer sings that bit in a mocking voice. So basically, he's partially responsible for Maude's death (parking in the ambulance space, etc.), but then makes fun of Ned grieving in a song. No remorse or sympathy, or any of that. C'mon Homer, you're making fun of a guy for being upset over his dead wife. That's lowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Booooooooooo.

Homer you are the worst human being I have ever met.



Having said that, I find myself humming along to the song quite often. Still, that doesn't save the episode from being rubbish.

How he acted in the latter acts when he escaped the operation (twice) seemed to me like just extreme fright induced by what he was told at Moe's, not because of him being an outright mean jerk.
