Ah, ice. Everyone loves it. Keeps our sodas cold, gives us brain-freezes, makes our "teef" hurt. But I like to take a step on the wild side and eat the hell out of it. Who else does?
Ice eater over here.

I can now brag I have the power to summon my own kind.
During Thanksgiving one year, I was chewing ice while watching TV and my aunt told me that people who chew ice are sexually frustrated.
(I was thirteen.)
...That could be possible.

I love to eat ice! Love it! Snow, too.

It's my only joy in life
by: Prune Tracy
I like to chew ice if there's much left at the bottom of the glass, once I've finished my drink. I regret doing it last time though. It was a big ice cube, and I was swirling it around in my mouth. Then it got jammed between my teeth and my jaw and it really, REALLY hurt. Eventually, I managed to move it around.
Despite the pain, I doubt I'll change my ice-munching ways.
Poochie needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine
Sometimes I simply put an ice cube or two into my mouth and let it melt and slide around!
I also occasionally chew it, rarely mind you.
i hate ice.
To be fair, is there anything you like?![]()
ice waters down pop. ice makes water too cold. i hate ice.

I actually like a bunch of ice in my drinks. The cup needs to be over half full of ice.
Ice is very good.
It makes drinks cold, and -
Cold drinks > hot drinks
in most circumstances. Don't like coffee, don't like tea. Hot chocolate gets sickly after several sips.

the title makes me think we're a legion of superheroes who fight off the villain "Ice" by chewing on it till it dies.

I do indeed chew ice from my drinks, however I've never delved into recreational ice chewing, I think I'm in control of my habit.
Anyone here eat lemon slices?

But I do not order ice with tap soda because it really ruins it quickly.

I have ridiculously sensitive teeth, so it's hard to even drink ice water without a straw
Do ice chewers also chew 'Ice Breakers' gum?
nah... ice breakers gum is bad, it doesn't feel like the sensation of chewing ice at all. as far as gum goes, I prefer doublemint

I've chewed ice in the past, and sucked lemon slices. I also have sensitive teeth, but it never impacted on my ice chewing. Lemon slices are regrettable, because you have to brush your teeth right away and it hurts to do so. These are things I started doing because as a child I loved the challenge when adults made it sound like ice and lemons were the big bad things you don't eat whole.
Thinking of chewing McDonald's ice makes me feel sick. I just imagine that there are millions of germs in there like you get in foreign countries with lesser food laws, and they're just waiting to melt in my mouth and screw me up. But I've got a friend who even asks to chew my ice when I'm done with a jack n' coke. He doesn't drink, so perhaps it is linked to sensory frustration.
