I just thought we should have a thread here for this popular science-fiction saga. The original trilogy is still my favorite but I honestly like the prequel trilogy as well.

I still maintain episode 1 would have been good if they just stuck to the Darth Maul stuff cut out all the overly kiddy jar-jar binks shite. Then again they seemed to take up half the movie, so maybe im just being to superlative for a film that only had one good strand.

Palpatine is my favorite character throughout the saga. This is why I really like Revenge of the Sith despite all the problems. I don't mind the other 2 prequels as much as most either.

I'll watch the prequels if they're on but I'd really prefer not to. They're ok in general but to deliberately subject myself to it is not something I jive with.

I think I'm one of the only ones on the web not to hate 'The Phantom Menace' (or either of the other two prequel movies). I'm definitely looking forward to seeing EpII in 3D next year; it was fun seeing the 3D version of EpI this year.

I wish I could of seen the 3D version of Ep I but I guess I didn't feel the strong need to go; hopefully Ep II 3D will be worthy enough of going.

is this just for the films because i was gonna say how much i loved knights of the old republic. bought it in a steam sale last christmas and played it non-stop until the new year. as good as most of the films are, i really enjoyed the story lines of the expanded universe.

Obviously Empire is the best of the original trilogy, but for me, I think Return of the Jedi might just edge out A New Hope.

What's wrong with preferring Jedi to A New Hope?

It's a great way to end the saga and has got several really nice and memorable scenes (the speeder bike chase kicks ass).

Episode 1 has a special place in my heart because of all the nostalgia but compared to the others it is bile. Apart from the last 30 mins or so.

I didn't really like 2 at all, but 3 was certainly interesting even with Anakinemo being irritating.

4 is my absolute favourite alongside 5 but 6 does have a few flaws.

I was young enough at the time to enjoy Jar Jar for what he was...an annoying dumbass.
But yeah, I still hate the whole "Greedo shot first" thing.

Hayden being the Anakin spirit at the end of Jedi and the "NOOOO" in Jedi are terrible. The rest I don't really get bothered by. I'd say personally I like Empire then Sith then Hope then Jedi then it doesn't matter, but again that's keeping in mind that my favorite character is Palpatine. I think Empire and Hope are easily the best movies on a technical scale. I would rank Jedi higher but the Emperor scenes aren't enough to cancel out the boring first half hour and ewoks.

Yes. I hate to go all fanboy here, but...for me it's not so much that Greedo shoots first, but it's the fact that he somehow misses AT ARM'S FUCKING LENGTH that gets under my skin. I mean seriously? We're supposed to believe that a professional bounty hunter can't even get the easiest shot in the world??? The original cut was better, since Han was smarter and shot before that green SOB knew what was coming.
