Fucking beautiful. James must be in total shock. He has never seen even a fracton of that amount disliking a video of his.
Too bad James Rolfe still has no clue why his own fans are trashing him. If he had a clue then he would have had enough foresight to know that engaging WILLINGLY with some shady ass promotion to use some of his fans that he KNEW would blindly donate was a bad idea.
Fuck AVGN. He deserves all this backlash and then-some.''
The Archfiend sucks so hard.

He never puts up a good arguement.
Sometimes, he just makes these terrible sketch videos that exaggerate how bad the person is.
I have never seen a video in which he did a skit, but I did agree with him when he argued against another YouTuber (and he turned out to be right in fairness to him). I disagree with his views on AVGN but that discussion is boring and as I said we won't know the full details until the aftermath of the movie release.

I lost every bit of respect for the Archfiend in this video.
He literally wants the AVGN to apologize for a video he just acted in. He says that they knew all along that it was a scam, despite having absolutely no proof whatsoever.
He also says he'll ask James publicly at the premiere of his movie. I want bash this guy's skull in with a hammer while his family watches Jeff the Killer feed it to Satan's minions, who happen to be fanboys of the AVGN. Then they'll be even more rabid.
To be fair, that does seem weird. I can't help but think Matei's lying (his comments are pretty unprofessional and dodgy - 'we put up something without putting much thought at it' - erm, ok...) That said some people are willing to donate, not sure why, but they do. I understand morals come into the story but I don't know what to say. There's not exactly any proof! So basicially nothing really changed: Nobody knows the full story of anything, there's controversy, people are outraged, etc. Zzz...
You gotta love these Internet dramas though...

He should've focused on the old man who's behind the scam instead of the person who is in the video.
Still Mike Matei didn't really help his cause. I don't blame James, but Mike is being extremely dodgy in this case.

Besides I don't like Mike Matei. Strikes me as an annoying douchebag that's only good when he doesn't speak. I quite like Kevin Finn though and I don't mind Kyle Justin, but Matei I do not like. I hope I'm not the only one!

Kyle left back in 2009.
Ah that's why I don't hear his theme song and the fact his character is dead.
What happened?

''Justin left the program in 2009 to start a family and has ceased music-related activity. ''
Good for him!

Wait a minute -- so this Cheetahmen thing was a scam? I can't see Youtube videos on my work computer.
I pledged $60 to that thing and I'll be damned if that was for nothing.
Exactly. And his voice annoys me.
and yes @Steve that's what they say. The Archfiend wants to blame James but I personally blame Matei the idiot. He's a coward and covering up his own mess, and I doubt James played that much of a role in the video or project.
'It's been eating me inside for three days'. Obviously he speaks out after getting $26k!

He's only good when he's getting the crap kicked out of him by James.

I've been watching his videos a little lately and his videos are all right. I can really appreciate his earnestness for whatever topic he decides to do, like counting down SNES or NES games. And I liked the lengths he went through to be able to review Game Gear games. You don't see that kind of determination or whatever. He's not a great joke-writer or anything, but I can appreciate the earnest effort he puts in.
Haven't been following the scandal much, though.
I met James Rolfe back in 2010...
It was great to meet him, and while I don't like everything he's ever done, like some things that have been mentioned in this topic, I would still call myself a fan of his as I like many of his videos. (including the 107 and counting Nerd episodes)
Despite meeting him, I wouldn't call myself a "fanboy", if you know what I mean. (and believe me, there is a difference)

Just him talkin' about SNES and Genesis, with clips of younger James. A+.

Imagine if James still used jokes like ''a bit better''
I never heard of him until I oh, I don't know, used youtube for the first time in my life.
I remember when I first saw his review of Castlevania 2 I was kind of offended at his whining. But I understood it and laughed especially after watching the TMNT ep.
Looking back at this list of early eps, I miss that feeling of being excited for the latest video to come out.
But seriously. I'm sure the Nerd has affected more lives than facebook and is clearly the biggest phenomenon of the internet.

I found out about him when I bought the His Name Was Jason DVD.
Really? They barely used his material for that lol. Did you see the rest of the stuff he said on the site?
