Family Guy Emmy mailer controversy

I've been hearing about this for a few days now, apparently the mailers that have been sent out for FG have upset the Jewish community.

Honestly, I don't think it's that bad by FG standards. But I can see why people are pissed off.

Thoughts? Do you think it was too far? Are people overreacting?

But they're not taking shots at Jewish people in general, they're mocking the executives. I don't think it's funny, though, and they're pulling the typical poses (eyes half-closed, one hand held out) that always ram home that I'm watching a bad episode.

I guess I can see why people would find this a little offinsive. I thkink Seth should have know better, its not even funny.

I don't have a problem with the "Jew" part, I just think it's stupid how the crew is being a large asshole to the very people they want a nomination from. Just by the way it's presented you can tell the Peter Griffin cartoon is being used to disguise an actual opinion. "Bloated" and "overprivileged" I would argue are the most offensive words here because they're not saying being Jewish is a negative quality. The show does make me laugh, but I'd just like to see them get snubbed this year to tell them they need to tone the attitude down. But hey, after the initial shock wears off the voters might simply forget about it in a few days and give them the nomination.
