I actually quite like them. Bender, Leela and Zoidberg look amazing. I think it's the colour choices of the first three that are off (although Amy's just looks worse in general).

I've been stewing for months whether or not to invest my money into Futurama... and now that these are going to be released I think I will!

It's a bit obvious though that now the Volume 8 will feature Hermes most likely. Hopefully we get enough seasons to get Zapp, Kiff and Mom too!

If these were blu-ray releases of seasons 1-4, upconverted from the DVDs, I'd consider getting them. As is, though, they're no different from the ol' DVDs I've had when the original seasons first hit DVD.

And btw, where are the blu-ray releases of the first two movies? They're in HD on Netflix but not on blu-ray. Bout time for a four movie blu-ray release.

Has anybody bought the rereleased DVDs seen in the first post of this thread? Are they cardboard sleeves like 5-7, or are they clear plastic DVD cases? I have yet to see a photo or video of these.

So the discs are sort of stacked in the cardboard case, and have all new art. Also, there is new art on the inside that matches the style seen in volumes 5-7. Overall, I like the original releases more, but it is cool that they went to the effort of matching 5-7. Might pick these up someday when they drop below $10.

In my class, we are pretty much forbidden from using Wikipedia AT ALL when doing research for papers and such because of how unreliable it is.

Wikipedia is a collection of sourced material, but you should go straight to the source and not reference Wikipedia all the time. I'm not calling it unreliable. A lot of people get unreliability mixed up with what I believe to be one of the best sites on the internet, but it should be respected as a knowledge database and when you want complete fact, you'll need to do more research than Wikipedia. However, you can use Wikipedia to find knowledge on your subject, then read the sources, and cite though sources. Almost like a search engine.
