    Good Vibes (MTV)


    Not sure if I'm about to be killed, as I have no idea whether anyone liked this show or not, but I loved it.
    It was about a fat kid coming in from New Jersey to California, trying to fit in with all the surfers, and his best friend, Woodie. It only lasted twelve episodes, which is somewhat of a shame. I started watching it at the season finale, which was the last time they ever aired it. No more reruns. I thought the show looked retarded just by looking at the commercials, but after watching it, the protagonist, Mondo Brando, reminded me so much of my personality.
    Anyone else have thoughts on the show?

    One I got past the first episode I really started to enjoy it. Im surprised MTV actually has a good in their hands (besides Beavis & Butt-head) hopefully theyll do the smart thing and renew it for a second season.

    Actually, it got cancelled two days after the first season release. MTV liked the creative direction, and the creators tried to negotiate, but they weren't able to meet a good deal. That really hurt me in a strange way, as I fell in love with the show at the end.

    Wow that sucks I'll definitely have to go buy the DVD soon then. Stupid MTV they probably wanted it to be more hip or full of shity popular music or something like that.

    You're probably right. I think the commercials were also what got people not watching it, as they sucked very bad. I'm planning to buy the DVD, or buying it in HD on iTunes. I hope that one day it comes back to Comedy Central as a 10:30 show to Futurama on Wednesday nights. It may get less viewership than Futurama, but it would get a lot better ratings than it did on MTV.

    Brad Ableson desgined the characters on the show, and it looks just like his animation on The Simpsons.



    Seasons 1-9 - Classic era
    10-12 - Scully era
    13-16 - Silver age
    16.5 - Into the abyss
    17 - The shit abyss
    18-24 - Zombie Simpsons

    It looked a little similar to both The Simpsons and Family Guy, but the humor was a bit different.

    The episode where they had a spring break party is decent and I wanted to watch more but like Beavis & Butthead, I couldn't find the time to watch.

    I didn't like this show much. It was pretty lowbrow and not really in a clever way, and I didn't enjoy any of the characters.
