American Dad! Rate and Review: "Ricky Spanish"

Get ready to hear the name 'Ricky Spanish' 100 times, lol.

Well, I rather liked it, and Klaus and Hayley stole the show.

So did Werner Herzog's cameo.. lol.

I'll give it an 4/4 overall.

(Keeping it a silm four option poll, just trying something different.)

I hoped to watch this but I got too distracted during it to really notice much except Herzog at the end, but I have a question or two. Was the Ricky Spanish character already seen/mentioned in an earlier episode, and is it supposed to be a parody of something?

4/5. The ending was pleasantly unexpected.

    Seasons 1-9 - Classic era
    10-12 - Scully era
    13-16 - Silver age
    16.5 - Into the abyss
    17 - The shit abyss
    18-24 - Zombie Simpsons

Yea the ending while heart crushing his funny as hell. (and now we can say that American dad has a better Werner Herzog cameo than the simpsons)

You know I almost expected someone to have someone point out that there's very little difference between Ricky Spanish and Roger

I think Herzog was funnier on the Simpsons personally. Easily the best aspect of that episode which doesn't really get bad until the last act and even then not as terrible as you'd think.

He's been in all shows animated... or he will be.. soon enough.

So two episodes this week with barely pubescent kids becoming buff. Have to say if something like what happened to Steve happened in The Simpsons I would've enjoyed that episode a lot more.

Great episode, but one question: When Stan and Francine ditch Tungee, they miss him but they get annoyed again and ditched him again? Do have some sort of complex emotions about him.

One thing I thought is that Roger has really changed but it turns out he didn't. He even left Steve for the police to beat and arrest him!

They need to stop using the word "bitch" as a punchline.
I wasn't that fussed on this episode, honestly.

Ricky Spanish was a partial spoof on "My Name is Earl" which had the same premise of a former ner' do well who makes a list of people he wronged and makes up for it.

Stan and Francine's story was pointless (Though Hayley and Klaus' appearence was great...though it left me thinking we probably could have gotten a better B-story out of them). Roger's plot was solid though. Not to mention the 25 (I counted) utterances of the words "Ricky Spanish".

The only thing that could have made Roger's story perfect would have been actually seeing a buff Steve kick the everloving shit out of him.

4/5....shame that the next episode is the season finale.

    Just be thankful

Well when I heard the name I thought of Johnny English, but no similarity. A good episode even without being a specific parody of something. Interesting that it lacked huge moral repercussions on Roger, and Stancine's plot highlighted their short and superficial attention span so well (these things for me explain why they're good together). The "jars are for farts only" moment reminded me what I love about this show. All in all a fine example of the perfected absurdity of American Dad.

it had a weak beginning, stupid and random jokes, and a bad sub-plot but it was enjoyable. As you already said the scene with Klaus and Hayley was hilarious. I loved the end
