    Le Show (Harry Shearer)

I've been listening to this show on my phone for a while now and although it sometimes seems to take a little while to gain momentum, it's funny and well-presented.

Just wondered if any other comedy radio connoisseurs on here follow it, as we are after all mostly Simpsons fans.

I used to listen to it back in the late 90's around the time of the first Simpsons voice actors's strike. His best show I remember was the "Hazardous Materials" Train, which made fun of the poorly overdubbed NBC TV movie that was forced to changed it's title from "Atomic Train." His take was almost as absurd as the actual show.

BTW, my old screen name "Le Jake" was based on "Le Show".

Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

"One of the keys to life is having a sense of proportion, knowing how long to sit at a restaurant after you've eaten, or how long you should go on vacation if you go to Hawaii for a month on vacation, I guarantee you that by the end you'll hate it. So it's the same with a TV show, you want to do a certain amount of it, so that when people look back on it and they love it. I could have easily done the show for one or two or three more years, but it would have changed the way people look back at it. I think I made the right decision. Because people like the show now even more than they did in the 1990s, because it didn't get worn out." -- Jerry Seinfeld

I used to listen to it around 2006/7 and then I got bored with it (and podcasts in general). There's long stretches with few laughs and shearer come off as really smug, but usually there was a bunch of stories from outside of my news & blog bubble.
