I was a fan since around 2001 so I was there when they were pretty bad, but we've had a very good run since 07 or so. I remember that magic playoff run in 08 like it was yesterday. Sadly watching them this season has been an effort in self-mutilation. I really don't see them making the playoffs this year, their offense really is that horrible. I guess we had a good run, but it is a shame how they're wasting such good pitching. Couldn't even beat the Padres...

I think the Phillies will be fine. It seems most of these teams (NYY, Boston, LAA) start slow then catch fire later on. It's a long season.

cards are doing pretty good so far. blues are looking good too.

Perhaps you're right. I don't think most of the players on the Bo-Sox want to play for Bobby Valentine, with him ruining the country club atmosphere and all.

Who do you support? I'm an avid follower of football that I even went as low as your non-league set-up! I personally think that the Championship is a bit more exciting than the Premer League but all four Football League divisions have their share bit of charm and drama!

Obviously I follow the Impact in ole Canada and I'm thinking of going to a few games at Saputo Stadium during the summer.

yeah. valentine called out youkilis at the beginning of the season saying he wasn't physically or emotionally into the game......or something like that.

he just went nuts, looking like vintage ron artest (i would like to see another brawl like the Malice at the Palace). but yeah, how can he stand there and say that it was an accident. clearly wasn't. and he only gets 7 games. i would have thought 15 at least. but since it was harden (i like the thunder) i would have liked 25.

jays lose to the orioles 1-2.

thames hit a massive homer that went out over the park and across the street.

then later on he went for a flyball, he hit the wall, the ball hit his glove and went out for a home run.

it's still not the reason they lost though. they couldn't get anything going against tommy hunter (who's pretty bad). alvarez pitched a great game but still got the lost.

Every league is more exciting than the Premier League, and I say that as a Man United fan (well, I support two teams but whatever)
