Rose AND Deng both need to be healthy to make a good run!

Bad news, Rose is out with a torn ACL, but the Bulls seem to do okay without him. Deng is indeed a key cog in the lineup that will need to step up now and fill the void.

yeah crazy that rose is out. but yeah they did good without him before.

just watched kemp with a walk-off homer in the 10 inning. that's all i was staying up for.

  13. #103

I'm still hoping that the Bulls win it all but man, is it ever going to be an uphill battle now. What do you guys think, should Rose have sat out the rest of the game with a minute or so left or do you think he should have been out there playing?

I think they should have handled him with care during the last portion of the regular season, but hindsight is 20/20. They did have the game in hand however so it was just a matter of a poor coaching decision all-around.

All I have to say about Rose getting seriously hurt is....FUCK!

Former Chargers,Dolphins and Patriots linebacker Junior Seau committed suicide today in his California home. The 12 time probowler was one of the all-time great linebackers and a tremendous presence in the locker room. RIP

I saw that! That sucks! Was it confirmed that he committed suicide? I heard there might have been foul play....

Police suspect suicide, Seau's girlfriend found him in their apartment with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.

Fair enough. Either way, a hell of a football player with quite the leadership will be greatly missed.

Yahoo! Sports said it was his housekeeper who found him dead...as a North County San Diegan, I'm shocked and saddened by the news.

Didn't Seau have a few concussions in his career? I thought he did but I could be wrong. If he did, though, it could make the NFLPA vs. NFL lawsuit on concussions pretty interesting...

I just heard that this is 3 suicides in the last year for former NFL players. I don't recall Seau having concussion problems, but if they study his Brain and find damage related to football uh-oh.

Also 8 players from the '94 Chargers team that went to the Superbowl are no longer with us. Creepy

There's a guy that I'm friends with on Facebook that posted some athletes that committed suicide over the past 20 years or something like that as a profile status and man, is that list ever long....

Finally an overtime marathon in the playoffs. I remember watching Washington and another New York team go at it in a 4 overtime classic from Easter Sunday 1987 that ended like this:

EDIT: I just realized this is what I was watching when a little two minute cartoon called The Simpsons debuted on the Tracey Ullman Show that same night, weird.

My local news did state that Seau DID take some blows to the head in his career.

The most heartbreaking thing yesterday was seeing Seau's mother in hysterics: I want to cry.

Yeah, they didn't need to show that.

Sorry to change the subject but what does everyone think of World Metta Peace (formerly known as Ron Artest)? Did you catch his most recent act of shenanigans? That bastard should be kicked out of the league for good!
