The voting system for the Top 50 Post-Classic Episodes thread only weighs what people like.
Whereas the Hurt & Heal Tourney approach weighs both likes and dislikes and weighs the dislikes more heavily.
Any polarizing episode is going to have a much harder time in this format. And Homer to the Max is clearly polarizing.
