Keep the faith
Not a bad review; you got everything about the episode in 60 seconds. I commend you greatly for this.

Good review. I always rembered the shock thing because season 1 was never in syndication but that scene was in a clipshow(So it's come to this?) Anyway good review and I look foward to seeing more. Even if it isn't as good as Lolcats work.

Animated smoothly, but I don't get it.

I was going to do longer, but I decided that anything longer than a minute would start becoming too much to animate without just doing a boring slideshow. It was also interesting to give myself a time limit, since the original cut was about 1:20, so I had to agonizingly decide what stuff was less important than others.
The main thing is the There's No Disgrace Like Home is really considered kind of a one trick pony because of the shock therapy scene. It's a little like the Burns Verkaufen episode with the land of chocolate. That one big scene kinda overshadows the rest, whether that's unfair or not.

Just a 60 second discussion on a Simpsons episode. This one is more of a rapid-fire mini-review, but the Moaning Lisa one I'm working on is a comment on the over-arching themes. Basically whatever I find interesting about a specific episode.

Assuming Control
Nice review, this was the first epsiode that ever I watched. I heard my fellow classmates raving about a new series called "The Simpsons" at school so I thought I would check it out. I wasn't dissapointed as the shock therapy scene is what got me hooked and have been a fan ever since.

Reality, eh?
Neat review, well spoken, summed up the episode extremely well and the flowing pictures created a nice image of the episode. Good video.

Fantastic work Jims, lolcats is brilliant but you narrowly beat him.

Not bad, but it would be cooler if the 60 seconds would be more like this:

This is too good to be buried under lolcats.

Hey, thanks Ryan!
To celebrate, here's Episode 2 of 60 Second Simpsons. Moaning Lisa.
(For some reason the embedded video is clipping the widescreen angles so you won't be able to see the countdown, even though it's in the screenshot above. To see the full version, click here.)
Enjoy!

Just watched; a slight dip in quality but you did get the whole Lisa being the normal one out of the family though.

Thanks Zombs! I really appreciate your viewership!
I'll admit I had a little more trouble animating this one because I got too ambitious with the opening reel up to the Six Feet Under thing, and got a little lax on the animation toward the end. Also, I wanted to more of a character study instead of a mini-review for this one, so it seemed harder to nail down how it needed to look. Ryan told me I needed to make it more "kinetic" which is a good pointer. I'll try to keep the individual moves simpler and quicker and not try to cram 10-20 pictures into the frame at once.
Next episode is Bart Sells His Soul, about some of the moral ambiguity in the episode. If anyone has any suggestions for episodes to do, let me know!
(For some reason, the embedded videos were cutting off the widescreen sections, which is where the 60 second countdown timer is. I updated the posts so hopefully they will show better.)

Not bad but very average, need more work...

very good you got everything from this episode

Very good ! I would probably try to do something like that one day.
Do you will comment all the episode like this ?

hmmm hmmm hmmm
I'll try to do as many episodes as I can... I'm kinda going through them right now based on which episodes I find more interesting than others, although like I said in my last post, I'm taking suggestions if there are specific ones you want to see.
The "Bart Sells His Soul" episode is taking longer than expected, because my initial idea got shot down when I re-watched the episode. I'm going to re-write and re-record it as more of a general review, so hopefully it won't be too delayed.

STOP TALKING!
Another Simpsons Clip Show :P
But, seriously, the two that would be cool would be "Marge Be Not Proud" and "The Secret War of Lisa Simpson".

Food-Crazed Maniac
$pringfield might be cool too....

I want to see Bart Of Darkness or Summer of 4 ft 2 !

Finally done. I tried to make this one more "kinetic" per Ryan's advice, so we'll see how it goes. Enjoy!
Not sure what episode to do yet. I'll have to do some brainstorming.

¡Señor Justicia!
Awesome! These are so well put-together. Please keep it up.
I LOVE that the song you use is a remix of Sagat's theme from Street Fighter II... fucking KNEW it sounded familiar, it was driving me crazy.

hmmm hmmm hmmm
I don't really play fighting games, but I love the Street Fighter II soundtrack. Oddly, though, I don't really like Sagat's original theme all that much. But that remix is amazing. Hard to be in a bad mood listening to that.

STOP TALKING!
You can always rely on Jims to find the best remixes to the most obscure vg soundtracks. Like in that Bender's Big Score one with a remix from (of all things) Leisure Suit Larry.
Good one as always! Pray tell, do you know of your next conquest?

That was very good ! The best yet

I have to agree, I think you might of outdone yourself with the third one.

Do you choose the one that you will do next time ?

Oops, I took last week off and forgot to mention it in this thread. I am a bad thread starter.
I'm currently working on one for The Secret War of Lisa Simpson... About 500/1600 of the way there!

Ok! I'm sure it will be another awesome review !
