    I don't know how to make the images as high-quality as other people, nor do I know how to take away that bar at the top, but I can at least make them.

    Full image thing? It's there by default if the image is big. And if you are saving the images as JPEG, GIF, etc. then it wouldn't be as in high quality as say, PNG, which is my preferred save image file type.

    I am saving them as PNG. But I am watching the episode on the Internet, then hitting "Print Screen" when I see a good moment. It requires precise timing because if I pause it, the "pause" icon will come up. Do other people just use DVD's?

    That's what I use. That, or clips from YouTube. YouTube don't got no pause icon, and I use the best quality one on there I can find. Got my Bart avatar from the Nostalgia Critic review.

    You should crop the sides off, when I take a picture with VLC whilst watching a DVD it only includes the picture itself and not the 'extra' due to the mismatched aspect ratio.
