I thought it had some great moments.
James Brown's guest appearance, Homer trying to get rid of/destroy the trampoline, Groundskeeper Willie at the podium, The Gone With The Wind reference, and some great Albert Brooks lines.

I also love the first act and it has one of the best scenes in Simpsons history where Homer imagines a crappy theme park. Just the fact that he imagines it already horrible is hilarious.

Only Boy-Scoutz n the hood and Bart Gets Famous could be deemed as slightly worse, from Season 5.

I agree, not a massive fan of that one either. Them 4 (Bart's Inner Child, Bart Gets Famous, Bart Gets an Elephant and Boy-Scoutz n the hood) are definitely the worst of Season 5 tho I'm sure we can all agree.

Just kidding but yeah I love those 2 episodes much more than Bart's Inner Child.

Barts Inner Child is the weakest of Season 5 for me, although Lady Bouvier's Lover is a pretty poor episode, compared to much of the season.

Boy-Scoutz though is one of the better episodes of the season, although perhaps not in the elite bracket. The oil rig with a Krusty Burger, the Deliverence and Friday the 13th parodies, and the quality of jokes are all pretty good.
