I just saw this episode for a second time and I'm totally surprised.

Me, too. Why in the world would you want to watch a Zombie Simpsons episode twice?

People have said on alt.tv.Simpsons: "the Simpsons is like sex-even when its bad it is still good!" often.

You don't see the writers making fun of those people.

To be fair, that analogy wouldn't be a bad way to describe a 'poor' classic era episode...!

I rather liked the episode and story behind the episode. It's also a nice parody of the Social Network. I think it would be ranked in the top 5 of season 23. I'm going with 4/5 on this one.

BEFORE THE CHAPTER
Some of you said this was one of the worse chapter of the simpsons so i wonder... a parody of The Social Network written by J. Stewart Burns. How bad can it be?

ACT 1:

First act was good, there were a couple of good gags as the family wasting the time of the guy in the car ("We totally wasted his time" "and ours!") and Ralph's messages in the computer the problem with the first act was most of the mall' scenes because we "really need to hear everything that happened in every store the family visited?". Lenny with the dolls was the worst


ACT 2
Was short and nothing was particularly good, I enjoyed the sequence with everybody in Sprinface but the angry nerds joke and skinner with charmels scene were boring


ACT 3
Was super short and boring.


ACT 4
I really liked the traffic accident scene and the ending of the MAIN PLOT. Both "extras in the end" were crap


FINAL THOUGHS
A chapter which had a lot of potencial but it only use just a little bit of it. The main plot hadn't material enough to make a twenty-two minutes chapter and that's shame because for that, we had to bear a lot of long and unfunny gags

just watched this for the first time - my god, what a mess of an episode. they didn't have enough of a story for one episode? really!?

it was just a train wreck, perhaps the only redeeming quality was the animation of the story at the end, but even then that shouldn't have been there. i thought people were saying the show was getting better? like hell it is.

I hated this one when it first aired feeling its most unforgivable sin was how boring it was. I just re-watched it and was pleasantly surprised. It was still far from great but I found much to enjoy. It still had too many gags that were clear padding and ones that went on too long and the false endings all irked me(though the animation on the Dark Stanley-esque story was still great) but the flow of the story was better than I remembered. I'd definitely be willing to increase my initial score by a full point to 2.5/5. I'm not even sure this was the worst of the season anymore.
