Have you heard any of The Boss' new stuff, Thompsons?
Yes I have, the new album Wrecking Ball is very good. Bruce is still putting out relevant music after forty years which is quite remarkable. A couple of songs on this one have been around for awhile, "Land Of Hope And Dreams" has been around since the reunion tour (around 2000) and the title track was written specially for the tear down of Giants Stadium in 2009.
It's good to see that you're so loyal and dedicated to the guy throughout his whole career...a true fan!
I'm not that old!My uncle showed me a video bootleg of his show from the old Exhibition Stadium in Toronto from 1984 when I was 10. I've been hooked ever since.
You're as young as you feel and if the music ever gets too loud, then you're old...so until then,!
Does Three Days Grace have anything new out? I used to here them regularly on the radio but haven't heard much from them in awhile.
I think the video you posted earlier was the last song I heard by them. I've had sattelite radio for the last few years though so I'm kind of out of the loop when it comes to these bands. Nickelback, Three Days Grace, Theory of a Deadman etc. is all my local rock radio station plays and I got tired of it so I purchased Sirius sattelite radio.
Sirius is pretty good because they play the typical stuff like you've mentioned above but they also play those little, unknown bands...which is awesome! If "Animal I've Become" was the last song you've heard of theirs then yes, they put out a newer cd within the last few years.
Here's one of the songs off that new(er) album:
I saw these guys in concert with Seether, Avenged Sevenfold, and Bullet For My Valentine in Chicago last October...they ROCKED!
Oh yeah, I heard this one before(all these bands seem to blend together after awhile). An interersting note on Avenged Sevenfold, during a break in recording now ex-Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy subbed for Jimmy "the rev" Sullivan after his untimely death in 2010. This in part led to Porntoy quitting Dream Theater. There is now some animosity among DT and Avenged fans, although many DT fans were happy Portnoy left as he had become a bit of a control freak when it came to the creative process of Dream Theater. Portnoy ended up being a stop gap however and is now kind of pissed that he couldn't rejoin Dream Theater after Avenged got a permanent drummer. Dream Theater have hired Mike Mangini as there new drummer so Portnoy is now regulated to his various side projects.
That just sounds like a mess!
Here's another jam that's pretty good:
I think it's safe to say that I'm into rock music, don't you think?
I would say so, I have more metal/classic/prog rock leanings. Here's a sample of a couple of Mike Portnoy's side projects:
^
Russell Allen of Symphony X (a band I mentioned earlier) is on vocals for this one
^
Tony Levin (ex King Crimson, Peter Gabriel and many many others) is on Chapman Stick in this video.

I re-listened to Dredg's "Bug Eyes" that you posted on an earlier page, Thompsons, that's good stuff!
Although I seem like I'm only into rock, I do have a wide taste in music. Here's a classic that I'm sure many of you have heard:
I love this frickin' song and I don't know why!
Did you listen to the other song I posted by Dredg? I haven't got their lastest release Chuckles and Mr.Squezzy which is getting curiously bad reviews. I would suggest getting Catch Without Arms and The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion, both are great albums.
That Adelitas Way song is pretty good, I'll have to look up more stuff by them.
Nice call on your last video, I haven't heard that one in awhile. Here are a couple of more classics that are both pretty well known:
THOMPSONS, GREAT VIDEOS! Man, those are some classics too! I listened to that other Dredg song, not too shabby!

I find that "Don't Stop Believing" has overshadowed many of Journey's other great songs. Such an underrated band:
Some may find this one to be sappy, but still a very powerful song:
A personal favourite:
I guess I'm heading to ROCK USA in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in July, so I'm pretty stoked. Motley Crue, Hinder, Skillet, Shinedown, Hollywood Undead, Seether, and Kid Rock are the big names there over the three day rockfest.
EDIT: Plans fell through and I will no longer be attending this event.![]()

BUMP!
Chris Daughtry is one of the most underrated musicians out there. The guy is talented and I like his music! With that said, enjoy:
Cradle of Filth is pretty hardcore, not too bad though.
I just bought Daughtry's "Leave This Town" cd and it's by far his best album so far.
Here's an amazing song from the album:
No need to name call.
Don't shoot your mouth off if you don't expect a pop in the chops in return then!
Less talky, more video posty. Here's some stuff from up north that I've been enjoying lately:
Favourite/least favourite by seasons that I own (somewhat stolen from Financial Panther):
3 - Dog of Death/When Flanders Failed 4 - Lisa's First Word/So it's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show 5 - Secrets of a Successful Marriage/Bart's Inner Child 6 - And Maggie Makes Three/Another Simpsons Clip Show 7 - Marge Be Not Proud/Bart the Fink 8 - Homer's Phobia/The Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase 9 - King of the Hill/Trash of the Titans 10 - Wild Barts Can't Be Broken/Maximum Homerdrive
I've been listening to a lot of Nirvana recently. And Soundgarden.
Obviously a lot of people say this, but Nirvana connect with me and feel very personal. All throughout my childhood I've been surrounded by Nirvana fans and still am, but it's only recently that I've started to actually love their music. People get caught up in the hooks but the band did a lot of beautifully dark music that few bands could ever replicate. It really is a great journey of discovery for me.
But yeah, music videos... Here are Rammstein and Rage Against The Machine. Awesome!
Good choices, Company!
My favorite song of my favorite band:
You have very good taste for the music Company picnic![]()
