Another thread like this is gonna pop up at the end of the season. I haven't been keeping track of my grades for this season because they are just first-views and many change on further views, but Holidays of Future Passed is the best episode so far, a 5/5, and I've watched it in its entirety 3 times already.

I don't think you need to rate the zombie Simpsons episodes highly to watch it, I mean it's more of an attachment and it's not like we don't appreciate decent episodes like HOFP and The Book Job.

i know but when you only have two episodes above a 4 (which is either a low D or an F), it's obvious you're not enjoying it much. 9 episodes so far, and only 2 would get a passing grade?

although admittedly it can be fun to see how much of a trainwreck the show is, but still

I may quit, but I feel like if there's still something to write detailed reviews on then I'll do it. Do keep in mind that I write notes, write in detail about every aspect of the character and attempt to provide a review about whether the episode is good or bad without spoiling much of the plot.

Disagree, I note the other reasons but their stuff is detailed; in-depth and point out flaws I wouldn't of noticed otherwise (mainly because I'm watching the episode trying to see if I enjoy it or not, most of the stuff I do retains to plot.), plus their crazy noises is some of the greatest things of all time.

If it was the worst then why would Jamie mention the site constantly and praise it (I know other people hate it but Jamie is like highly respected when it comes to Simpsons opinions.) I know you may not like it but I feel like the negativity shouldn't be a reason to dislike something.

I don't like the way they somehow throw Seasons 8 and 11 into the same category, but their "Compare and contrast" articles in particular are very good.

Basically season 22 with a couple of surprisingly decent episodes. The rest were the usual forgettable mush that I suspected.

EDIT: 16/1: This season just took a nosedive..
EDIT: 30/1: ....still nosediving....
EDIT: 13/2: ..okay nosedive has hopefully stopped now
EDIT: 20/2: quality seems to have petered out for a bit
EDIT: 5/3: yup, it seems to have settled at sub-mediocrity for now
EDIT: 19/3: HIWYM was a nice surprise - Them, Robot was not. general quality remains poor
EDIT: 17/4: BMCB was "meh" season 16/17 quality, so overall 23 still ain't great
