I don't collect Simpsons comics anymore. If it came out any other year, maybe. And the nearest comic shop here is like, 15 miles.

Do you think this is some sort of rope to bring in kids money? And do you think it'll come out in the UK?
The greatest joy of life is sax.

Most likely yeah. But I'd predict it'd be split, and placed within those from the main comics series or as part of Bart Simpson.

Profound Sadness
Course' I'm picking this up. Maybe it won't last long, probably even be a one shot, but still I'm morbidly curious to see what they're gonna do with him for entire comics at a time.

It's been confirmed already that it's a one-shot. The first in a series of one-shots actually, Ralph, Milhouse and Maggie have been confirmed.

I know it's going to be tough finding an issue at my comic shops next week. They only order one or 2 Bongo books per title. They might have overlooked this since it's an obscure one-shot. I hope the Barnes & Noble down here remembered to order it. That's been my backup spot for Bongo.

I'm like Veruca Salt from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. When Bongo comes out on release day...."I want it nooooowww!!!!"

I'm going to buy a copy just because Ralphie ALWAYS makes me laugh!

at the other side of reality
Ralph Wiggum-comics?!?
Really?
-
-
When it comes down to it, EVERYONE has to admit that Ralphie makes everyone laugh every time! These comics are going to be AMAZING!
-
-
Looks like there are 3 variants for Ralph Wiggum with different word balloons on each cover:
"First Issue!"
"I'm a comic book!"
"I'm a mint conditioner!"

Edit: Make that 5 variants!

yes, he makes me laugh.
no, he doesn't make me laugh 'every time'.

He used to make me laugh but then the new millenium kicked in.

Anyone have luck scoring the Newsstand/Bookstore variants?
I'm looking for the last one if anyone scores some.
I have a couple of the other newsstand variant ("Daddy Says Print is Dead!") for trade/swap too.

Reality, eh?
So, for people who've read this, do they have good storylines or is it a bit of a gimmick? Thinking of purchasing the issue, if it's available in my local newsagents (their stock isn't particularly expansive though

The stories themselves are decent. In most cases, they're superior to the show these days.
That said, I would advise that you avoid the UK editions like the plague. Instead go online and buy the US editions, they're far superior since you don't get whiny kids asking for the star prize in each letter, or them asking who the "Junk Mail Guy" is, along with his rude replies. And you don't get the "free gifts" that ruin the covers.
I have 199 comics from the UK, I regret buying them now instead of just getting the US editions from the start. So sooner or later, I'll probably start selling them off, I wouldn't get any more than £1 each. Which is okay)

Ralph's not even worth a life anymore. Just kill this comic, then him.

What's with the negativity?

Wtf Handsome B that's nasty.
My limited experience with Simpsons comics has been good, so going to have a look at these.
-
-
Reality, eh?
That's extremely harsh, Handsome B., there's still plenty of potential there he's a great character, and it definitely beats another motoring magazine or something equally as dull.

Thanks for the advice

It's only a one-off issue, geez. And it wasn't that bad anyway. I'd have been way more concerned if it was made by the same people that write for the series, luckily that's not the case.

No more half measures
Before you know it they'll be publishing Nelson comics.
Actually...now that I think about it, that sounds far more interesting than a Ralph comic. What else does Ralph do anyway besides saying incredibly stupid things anyway nowadays? Hell, he's basically Honer #2. Like we need another one of those..
