Put yourself in the shoes of the media. Would you want your content freely distributed, without your consent? From a business perspective, it makes sense, but the way they've executed it allows forms of censorship.
It also restricts the freedoms we currently have as Internet goers. Nobody owns the Internet; it's a conjoined entity that anybody who uses owns. The United States doesn't have the right to step in and start calling the shots.
Yeah, just to be clear, I know that the bill is bad and has many loopholes that can be abused, but realistically it's not gonna pass. Especially not after the shitstorm that happened yesterday.
