The NHC Bottom 50 Episodes (Results!)

As you all know, this November a bunch of our esteemed NHCers submitted their lists of their Top 25 Worst Episodes of all time, to compose a new Bottom 50 List. Overall, we had 33 lists submitted for consideration which we compiled into this overall list below.

Methodology - For scoring, each episode that appears on a list scored 25 point for a #1 rank (as worst ever), 24 pts for #2, 23 points for #3... All the way down to 1 pt for 25th place. And, of course, all unranked episodes would score zero points for that list.

Highest base point total wins, with the tie-breaker being the number of lists an episode appeared on. The double-tie breaker goes to the episode with the higher individual ranking on any of the lists.

(We tossed around doing bonuses for appearing on multiple lists, but when I ran the count, everything evened out really well. The episodes at the top of the rankings were in the majority of the lists and the later ones weren't in as many.)

Looks like KTAAR has been supplanted as the NHC's least favorite Simpsons episode And the race actually wasn't even all that close... The Greatest Story Ever Doh'ed really took a big lead and extended that lead as more and more lists came in. All in all, The Greatest Story ended up on 22/33 lists, which is pretty staggering considering we're picking only 25 out of a field of almost 500 episodes. KTAAR appeared in 18/33, and Bart Mangled Banner 16/25.
