Official Season 15 DVD & Blu-Ray

I'm thinking perhaps a green background with Mr Burns. I was gonna say Apu but he'd be perfect for a yellow background one in the future, Season 16? Also, I'm thinking they'll stick to this theme for the foreseeable future, even all the way up to S25, it just seems a bit odd to choose 5 random background characters (Krusty, CBG, Ralph, Kang, ??) and then change the packaging again. I'm also hoping that they'll eventually release 1-12 on Blu in the same style packaging. I just HATE the fact that they keep changing the packaging. Might even sell everything off and get the inevitable Complete Collection, at least then my OCD tendencies wont surface too much...

Willie actually wouldn't be a bad choice for Season 17 considering "My Fair Laddy" is popularly considered one of that season's better episodes though he should certainly not get one before Skinner or several other more prominent secondary characters(not that that idea stopped them from giving Ralph Wiggum or Kang covers.) Hibbert obviously doesn't deserve one though so I certainly agree with you there.

i meant willie would be random for this season. in retrospect he wouldn't be really random for a future release, but for s15 he would be.

like, krusty and ralph weren't random choices, but the seasons they were on definitely were. that's what i was alluding to in my previous post when i mentioned willie. he wouldn't be a random character on, like you said, s17, but for this season he would

Willie is a far more prominent character than Kang. I'd have no problem with Willie being on a cover of a season eventually.

either more secondary characters, or places around springfield (the school, the power plant, Android's Dungeon, etc) would be my guess

I actually wouldn't mind the style staying as it is now for 16 through 19 or so. Just maybe allow 2 people on the cover if the season allows for it(Season 16 is practically begging for a Patty and Selma cover) but only one is alright too. However, when Season 20's re-release comes out I'd like it to be on a grander scale in regards to everything really, artwork, extras(include that entire Spurlock documentary), etc...so I think Seasons 20 onward at least should have a different design for sure. Although that's all just what I want and I still expect a design change for Season 16 through 20, then another from 21 to 25 so...

1-5 = Couch gags
6-10 = One main character against the four other main characters, with a different theme.
11-15 = Secondary character against a sparkling backdrop, with a different theme inside the discs and DVD menus.

6-15 can arguably be viewed as just "characters". The first 5 were the main family and from there they started using lesser characters. The look of the background might change for 16-20, but I still think it'll feature a character on the cover in one way or another.

we're not going to hear anything about bonus features till much later. my guess is that we'll know stuff either spring or summer of 2012.

unlikely but it would be nice if this was released in summer, and s16 was released in winter (you know... like they did a few years back when releasing DVDs?). but like i said, unlikely

Sometimes we hear about guest stars on commentaries pretty early through twitter and stuff. We knew about Weird Al being on S14 before anything related to the set was announced.
