    I have 1-13 & 20 the movie.
Next week 14 will be released here, so I'll buy that one too.
Yep, I just continue buying them.

Same here, Oh, that's raspberry . I actually liked Season 22 more than Seasons 13, 19, 20 and 11. So I'm going to go for the whole collection (if ever Fox is able to release all of the seasons before DVD's disappear).

    I honestly don't know

If you'd have asked me a year ago I'd have said all of them for the commentaries. I sleep every night with a tv show or dvd on and a lot of times it was a simpsons dvd with the commentary on.

But in the last few months many aspects of my life have been changing a lot, so I just can't say anything for certain

    at least 14 though

My ears are burning! I'll never stop buying The Simpsons media - I genuinely do still love the new episodes. Yeah, they might be different, but I don't see anything wrong with change. Anyway, my last DVD purchase will probably be Season 20. Even though half of that season was made in HD, the other half isn't, so I think I'll start on the Blu-Ray at Season 21.

If someone pissed in your cereal instead of using milk and called it "change," would you still eat it?
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

you're actually one of the people i was referring to in my OP

i mean, if people want to buy every season of the show, fine, but looking through this thread, a lot of people who said they would buy every season are saying "to complete my collection". wouldn't you guys rather buy them because you think they're good, and not because it helps your collection become complete? i dunno, seems like a waste of money to buy them if you don't geniunely like them, and are only buying them to help your collection

    Probably 14.
Jimbo Jones: [about Homer] I hear that guy's ass has it's own congressman!
Bart Simpson: I wash myself with a rag on a stick.
Homer Simpson: [takes cap out of dryer and puts it on his head] Mmmmm... I CAN feel three types of softness.
Lisa Simpson: [from upstairs] Dad, what are you doing down there?

I'm buying all of them. No doubt. I still love the show and find 80-90% of the post-classic era to be greatly entertaining. Some do suck, and when they do, it's awful, (especially compared to the bad classic eps), but you'll have that with any show. I can't wait to have all the seasons, thus far, and will buy them on there release date. I absolutely reserve the right to hate future seasons or majority of seasons, but I haven't yet

I stopped at 10. Some guy bought me 11 for Christmas. It remains unopened.

I probably won't stop, if only for the commentaries (even though the last few seasons have had terrible ones). I have 1-13 so far, 14 I'm probably going to get at Christmas when it's gone down in price. It's 29.99 at the moment and I don't think I wanna pay that much...

I have seasons 1-10 and I'm pretty sure that's all I'm getting. I've been a fan since the beginning but after looking up episode listings for later seasons I don't see myself buying any more. I mean, aside from the Halloween ep I couldn't name a single ep from season 11 that I can say I really enjoyed compared to even season 10. I'm sure I'd still enjoy watching, nothing wrong with more Simpsons, so getting other seasons as a gift is a different story

Season 9 as it's the last quality one.

Seeing as how they only release one a year and it's around $35, I can't see myself every having a reason to skip a season. Even if it is the weakest and worst of all the seasons. Every season has a hand full of good 'sodes, so that and the commentaries are reason enough for me.

deleted scenes are the biggest reason for me. it's just really fun to look through episodes and see a deleted scene, wondering why it was deleted (plus a lot of them are pretty good imo)

Hardly ever use DVDs, myself. I've purchased a few episodes on iTunes, but I haven't bought a full season since Season 20 and I don't plan on it until there's a season that's actually worth my money.

So Season 20, a mediocre season with absolutely NO special features is worth more than an average one with loads of features?

As I said, I rarely use DVDs. I buy full seasons for, y'know, the episodes. But nowadays, I don't see the point in purchasing entire seasons. I just select the episodes I want.

If the special features aren't a big deal, you can find s20 used for dirt cheap.

Hell you can get it new for 20 bucks, I've even seen new versions for $15 at places that usually sell dvds much higher than usual. Those were during a specific dvd sale they had though. I've been tempted to get it as I like several of the episodes, but have staved off the temptation rather easily even with such cheap prices. I guess the most I'd pay for what would effectively be a double dip is $10...but even then I'd probably find something better with my $10.
