NHC Bottom 50 Episodes 2011

[Oh, that's raspberry!]

As you may or may not have noticed there has been some discussion on the board recently about what to do leading up to the 500th episode in February. Although this is hardly a consensus there has been some discussion regarding a new top 100 list and new bottom 50 list. This is the latter. I am leaving this in general discussion over Noiseland Arcade to get this as much exposure as possible. Basically you put down what you consider to be the worst 25 episodes of the series in descending order with #1 on your list being the worst. Based on a point system we'll determine which episode NHC considers the worst. Because people will naturally have different episodes on their lists we should have no problem getting a bottom 50. To my knowledge this has been done before so many of you may remember doing this in the past.

I'll leave this thread for about a month or so before closing it and begin tabulating the results. Hopefully that will be enough time to get many different lists.

EDIT: The point system will be 25 for worst of all time and 1 for 25th and everything in between. Any episode up to and including the last to air this November will be fair game. You are allowed to change your list as much as you want until the thread closes, but
NOTE: Only lists of 25 will be counted.

NOTE 2: I'd like for this thread to avoid questioning other people's choices as much as possible, but as long as discussion remains civil I'll still allow it. Until the results are announced I'd like for this thread to be mainly lists though.

Yep, that's precisely the system we're thinking. I'm planning on running the stats for this round, although if anyone wants to help out, I can always use the help. I remember you expressed some interest in it, Mr .Erg.

Yeah, if you want to keep updating as you see new Awful, Awful Episodes, then by all means! Like Mr. Raspberry said above, the thread will be open for a month, so you'll have plenty of time to edit/add to it.

this was extremely difficult because a)haven't seen a lot of 19-22 recently or at all, so i'm struggling to remember how bad these episodes were and b)I have only 2 Fs and I had to stretch this to 25 because I'm pretty generous. Though i am trying to be harsher on newer episodes at the moment, because i can be pretty harsh on the classic era sometimes.

Thus this list is extremely rough and really is just a rough overview as opposed to a definite order.

Looking over my list, I've realized that I have a definite hate toward 1) travel episodes and 2) Jerkass Homer episodes. Most of these picks aren't as much about the episode execution, but usually a conceptual/characterization problem that I just can't forgive in the episode. There's only a couple on the list (Elementary School Musical, Million Dollar Abie) that are there because they're unfunny and boring.

I know it's all about opinion but I don't know how on earth you can rate 'Tale of Two Springfields' as the 11th worst Simpsons episode of all time. It's probably one of the best 11 episodes post season 9, altho that does say it all about zombie Simpsons
