    New episode Ideas.

    "The Barts and the Bees"
When Bart meets a girl who is raised a bit more liberal than Homer and Marge would like, Homer and Marge forbid Bart to see her. However, Lisa's conflicted over Homer and Marge's "super-conservative" parenting and this girl's more free-spirited upbringing.

    "Homer Gets an Upgrade"
With the ole'T437 console at the plant nearing the end of it's useful life, Homer's workstation is upgraded and he is now under the scrutiny of Nuclear Energy watchdog group: "The Green Enforcement Machine." However, when a potential accident is in the works, Homer's incompetence might not be the culprit.

    "Worst Halloween Ever"
Bart, Lisa and Milhouse, along with the rest of Springfield's kids, are invited to participate in the Town's annual costume contest but when Lisa and Milhouse decide to team up on their costume idea, Bart is left out in the cold. After falling out with Ralph and Martin, he decides to go on his own and is now is afraid to go out trick or treating on his own because "double-digit aged" kids are more likely to get pummled. Meanwhile, Lisa and Milhouse's costume is getting rave reviews and they're in the finals and are in line to win 1,000 dollars.

    "Swapping Edna"
With the Teacher's union on the wane and costs of healthcare and pay spiraling out of control, Edna is feeling powerless when her contract comes up for renewal. Before she can even get a position in the talks, she is replaced by...Mr. Samuel Krabopple, Edna's first husband (voiced by Matt Damon). Even worse, Bart and the rest of the class actually like Sam's ways of teaching, but when Ned and Edna announce plans for getting married, Bart's fears of the "Nedna" neighbors begins to make him want her to return to teaching.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

Speaking of "Bart gets a girlfriend" when is the DVD coming out?

Jake, some pretty nice ideas. I don't really think that Homer and Marge have a particular political leaning, though (at least not for the last 15 years or so), so I think the first idea is a bit of a stretch. I quite like the concept of Edna's first husband showing up though, and the SNPP one.

I'd consider Homer and Marge to be a conservative couple that's just a tad more moderate than Ned Flanders, where as in my idea, Bart's GF's parents are both atheists and they and their daughter talk about how religious people are 'blind' to how the world really works and how going to church on Sunday is big waste of time. I could see Marge getting really uptight and telling Bart:

"How dare they force their non-religious views on you!"

It would be great to see a satire on the town splitting over the atheists vs. religious and it being a parody of the X Men movies where the Atheists believe they are the 'evolved' ones and if you're not part of them you're living in the past, plus having Lisa torn over which side to choose.

The Barts and the Bees- would this qualify as a "bart gets a girlfriend" episode? i mean you say that he "meets a girl"; does he like her and hang out with her a lot, despite what marge and homer say?

homer gets an upgrade- sounds pretty good.

Worst Halloween Ever- The Bart plot sounds really good. What is Milhouse's and Lisa's costume that is so popular?

Swapping Edna- i really like it, mostly just so we could finally see edna's husband. but the plot itself is good too

Here's the twist: Bart likes her cuz she's "cute" and he likes how free-spirited she is without the psycho side of Jessica; Lisa thinks she's cool because she's relatively smarter than the average 10yr old and because she a "polite" anarchist that's not afraid to call out society's wrongs.

So the conflict would be more between Bart and Lisa because Bart doesn't want Lisa nerding up their friendship and Lisa doesn't think Bart actually likes her beyond some stupid girl-crush, so he should just go away.

EDIT: If Edna's husband came back, I'd want him to be a total d-bag.

That title makes that episode sound seriously disturbing.

Please tell me it doesn't involve a cop-out ending with her leaving him or the other way around?

I wouldn't go down that route, I rather have her at the end of the second act learn she's moving then have the story jump ahead a week at the start of the third act, have her be a runaway that's Bart and Lisa find in the treehouse and they try to keep her location a secret and sneak her in and out of the house until she finally gets caught and hauled back to her parents at the very end, being dragged kicking and screaming.

It would be really unique to have Bart and Lisa having a mutual best friend they both would stand up for. Unlike Milhouse who wins Lisa's attention via attrition, (we'll call her Jodi) Jodi likes being friends with Bart and Lisa and tries to keep them from arguing with each other when they both want her attention. In the end, Bart's heartbroken he lost his first non-crazy Girlfriend and Lisa's sad that she lost her first honest best friend and everyone misses the time they spent together.

I like these episode ideas a lot, especially the one with Edna's husband returning. I would like to see that done, but only if Al Jean is in one of his competent moods (like he was in Homer the Father).

In case you didn't know, Edna's husband, Ken, was actually supposed to return in season 2's "The War of The Simpsons" and he was supposed to be based off of Dean Martin. However, they believed the voice performance made him sound too much like a hick, so they abandoned it. I still hope her husband makes an appearance makes one of these days.

    What a depressing story.

Something "depressing" (aka down-to-earth) every so often is needed, IMO, instead of meth labs, lepreacauns, or magic robots.

But I like meth labs, leprechauns, and magic robots! Especially when the magic robots are piloted by leprechauns and run meth labs!

It's the end of the era for the simpsons, as Maggie turns 3, and says her real first word to everyone. Bart and Lisa go up in grades, Homer gets a promotion from Mr Burns. Then something happens, then a ghost pops out and everyone dies. derp.
