Episode Suggestion Thread

I think this would probably fit into the general discussion or episode discussion sections as well, but I'll put it here. Also, I half expect this to become a joke thread but we'll see. Also, also, this thread may already exist so I apologize in advanced if it does. So:

Is there any idea for an episode you would like to see the current show tackle? The idea could be totally new or something they've already done. I don't mean some fantastical fan-script you specifically thought up or anything, just a basic premise should suffice. Personally I'd love to see another Thanksgiving episode. I know, I know, Bart vs. Thanksgiving is fantastic and could never be outdone but c'mon it has been 21 years and we've got plenty more Christmas and Halloween episodes. I'd really be interested in seeing the family celebrate Thanksgiving one last time. And no I don't count Kill Gil or Homer the Moe where the holiday got a little nod, I want a full-blown Thanksgiving episode, one more before the end.

So that's mine, anyone else got any?

I've mentioned this a couple times in the past, but one of my friends had an idea of an episode where Krusty gave up his show for good and moved back to his hometown. or, it could be krusty giving up his show for good and bart trying to convince him to get back on the air.

also, some minor ideas:

-sideshow bob tries to kill bart again, and after failing for the umpteenth time, decides to make peace with bart and promise to not try and kill him anymore
-lisa and janey start their own webshow, in a parody of iCarly (which was one of my episode ideas a while back)
-grampa dies (or anyone major enough to actually make an episode that matters; preferably done in the final season)

Flanders, while reluctantly accepting their decision, struggles with now being the only Christian in the house. Lisa notices how it's torn their family apart, and can't decide whether she should influence the boys into becoming Christians again.

The reason for Marge's croaky voice and constant up-beat attitude (despite her monstrous family) is due to her nicotine fix when the family are away at school and work. One day, Bart is sent home from school early, and catches her smoking by the kitchen window. She explains how she started soon after her sisters did, in attempt to relieve stress from the fact that her sisters were smokers. Meanwhile, Homer and Lisa are on a crusade to get smoking banned from Spingfield, much to the secret dismay of Marge.

How about an episode involving Drederick Tatum? Maybe like a documentary of his boxing career, including the murders and corruption commited by the Don King character that 'looks suspiciously like him' as Homer once said

I have a few ideas, basically:

- The Nuclear Power Plant explodes or there's some sort of spillage or leak polluting the towns water supply, or the threat of it, so it goes into lockdown/quarantine with Homer still inside and he's stuck there for a few days or so while Marge and the kids are worried etc.
- An episode set entirely with Homer as a kid, with different style opening credits of Grampa, Mona and Homer running onto the couch and sitting in front of a very old TV/radio with the entire episode following Homer as a kid.
- In order to come up with a get rich quick scheme Homer applies for numerous gameshows etc.

For a Treehouse of Horror episode:

Hell'o'ween
Marge as a teen is the babysitter etc, Lisa and Bart as the two kids she's looking after, Homer or Grampa as Detective Loomis etc...

Paranormal Acting
Homer and Bart try to fake their own horror movie and make their own Paranormal Activity or Blair Witch Project but things start to go wrong when a poltergeist shows up

(Almost) Final Destination
Lisa witnesses a nuclear disaster in Springfield before waking up to realise it was all just a dream, but as the day goes on she notices many similarities and convinces her family (and many townsfolk) to leave town for a day trip, when they return the town has infact been destroyed, and the Simpsons (and others who left) attempt to start a new life in Shelbyville, after they adjust they start to get killed off one-by-one.

An episode title that WILL happen in the next couple of years. Without a doubt: 500 Days of Bummer or 500 Days of Dumber.
It'll re-write everything about Homer and Marge's past (again), this time they met at a 1999/2000 New Year's Eve party.

NOTE: This isn't an episode suggestion, this is a prediction that will inevitably happen. However I would be intrigued to take on a 500 Days of Summer-style storyline. And I'd love to see a THOH segment based on Lost.

I don't really think so either, but it just feels so much like a title and a concept that would be used eventually (screwing up continuity -again!). Pointing out the obvious pretty much every episode title nowadays is a pun on some sort of movie or TV series, and in about 10 years **shudder** when the show has resorted to some sort even more desperate measures I am sure that this movie will be one of the ones pulled out of the hat.

Which leads me to my next point: Do the writer's just come up with a punny title first and then write the rest of the script around that? (that's an obvious yes, bit off topic but ah well... :P)
