We're bloggin' a food blog
Marge and Bart and Lisa as one now
We're havin' fun now
Throwin' down mad foodie game
Knowin' all the chef's names
Rollin' into K-town
Bibimbap and bugolgi
The hotties that I chill with
Sriracha and kimchi
Give me house-made terrines
My duck is always confit
I braise with a billion more BTUs than I need
Cook Thanksgiving turkey in a trash bag, sous-vide
A fumatore in Brindisi
FedEx me salami
Don't scoop gelato
Unless it's got umami
I'll be frank like Bruni
Ruthless like Reichl
Wiley like Dufrense
When I take the mic out
Rhyme about radicchio
Criticize Colicchio
Every pub is gastro
All my beef carpaccio
Throw it in the pho, yo
And don't you call it pho pho
Talk about broth-squirting dumplings (dumplings, dumplings, dumplings)
We're bloggin' a food blog
Uploadin' pics with our fun mom, fun mom, fun mom
Over the closing credits:
We're bloggin' a food blog
Settin' up accounts for our users
Usin' computers
Post tweets every day
Yo, yo, tweets every day, y'all
Never give it four stars
Ain't never give it four stars
Maybe two, maybe three

Duck fat
Truffle oil, yo, yo, yo
My food is art, my food is art
It comes right from the heart
What's up with the scene where Marge's car breaks down? She immediately says something like, "Why do squirrels alway climb under the hood of MY car?" and then she looks at the signal that implies a squirrel is under there. It's like they edited those scenes out of order.
I think the blinking light was ment to be the punchline
I would first of start by saying that this is by far the best episode of season 23 thus far. It was entertaining enough and the plot wasn't too shabby however the realisation that the show just can't be funny anymore, especially Homer(the crawling up the stairs scene is incredibly cringeworthy) is really tragic. Highlight was strangely the food rap and Homer using a fire extinguisher ala an xbox game. Marge saying "D'oh" and the end was O_O surreal but I think for Zombie Simpsons standards it was a fine episode. 5/10 or 3/5
Who here ever chants "fun dad, fun dad, fun dad..." when they're having fun with their dad? What's the fun in that and why do the writers think I don't understand what fun is, where I need it spelled out for me in the least subtle way? When you have fun, you don't call attention to it, you embrace it before it wears off.
My Simpsons Season 23 Ratings/Reviews:
The Falcon and the D'ohman (4.5/10) Bart Stops to Smell the Roosevelts (4.0/10) Treehouse of Horror XXII (1.0/10) Replacable You (3.5/10) The Food Wife (4.0/10) The Book Job (8.0/10) The Man in the Blue Flannel Pants (4.0/10) The Ten-Per-Cent Solution (4.5/10) Holidays of Future Passed (8.5/10) Politically Inept, With Homer Simpson (3.5/10) The D'oh-cial Network (2.5/10) Moe Goes From Rags to Riches (1.5/10) The Daughter Also Rises (5.0/10) At Long Last Leave (2.5/10) Exit Through the Kwik-E-Mart (1.0/10) How I Wet Your Mother (4.0/10) Them, Robot (3.0/10) Beware My Cheating Bart (5.0/10) A Totally Fun Thing That Bart Will Never Do Again (3.0/10) The Spy Who Learned Me (3.5/10) Ned 'N' Edna's Blend (5.5/10) Lisa Goes Gaga (1.0/10)
Bart and Lisa have also said d'oh before, probably other characters too...

Grampa also muttered it along with Bart in the flying hellfish, while Bart's 'big brother' in "Brother From Another Planet" also said it
Point is she shouldn't say anything "witty" or "funny" or "edgy" because she isn't funny or the same Marge Simpson anymore![]()

Best episode I've seen since "That 90s Show". Loved everything about it. The statues of Master Chief and the big daddy from bioshock and John Madden, the first person homer scene, the spoof video game titles, Gordon Ramsey dropping F-Bombs, the meth lab, the food blog song, the bad-ass chemical restaurant, and the ratatouille scene ripoff. 4.5/5

Man, I just realized that "the twist that would impress South Park" Selman teased about in a recent interview was just the meth lab thing. That "twist" was spoiled from the start. Unless I'm missing something...? Was that really the twist? If so, WHY WOULD THEY SPOIL IT IN COUNTLESS INTERVIEWS?!?!? ugniesdgjknsdkgj
So, they're inserting "twists" just to "impress" other shows now? South Park's creators loved and respected this show years ago, it would be interesting to see how they would mock it now.
They haven't really watched the show, according to commentaries. They've just seen a few older episodes, but they're friends with the Simpsons staff.

If this is the best the Simpsons can come up with, why haven't they been cancelled?
I gave it a somewhat generous 2/5. Not as bad as the Halloween "episode" but not that great either.
The thing that keeps it from complete crap is the times I pause to see what the blog says.
2/5
but just for the Chalmskinn reference, bumping it up to a 3

This is my favorite episode out of the five episodes so far. It has its moments and I liked the little reference to the Call Of Duty game at the beginning of the episode (the part where Homer's vision starts to fog up with blood after being hit by an E4 bag --> Squeeky voice handing him a piece of pizza to make his energy bar go back up made me laugh too). The story was pretty good for recent season material, but I didn't like the rap song. And I enjoyed the Ratatouille reference. 13/20 or 3.25/5
The Falcon And The D'ohman : 8/20
Bart Stops To Smell The Roosevelts : 9/20
Treehouse Of Horror XXII : 6/20
Replaceable You : 12/20
The Food Wife : 13/20

This was the first very good episode of the season for me. A little later than I would have wanted, but what can you do.
There was a lot that was really funny here and worked pretty well. Which is surprising since it could have all really fallen flat in the wrong hands. Instead, we had nonstop gag sequences that worked just because of the strength of the jokes. The video game jokes took up most of the first act and were pretty funny, especially the Angry Birds joke. I can't help but feel that one pan across the Expo was the writers just getting every joke about video games out there, which again, could have been a really cringe-inducing moment, but it was fast and funny enough to work. The same goes for a lot of the freeze-frame jokes and text seen on Marge, Bart, and Lisa's blogs. Though I have to say, the rap number was one of the big misfires of the episode. Sure it was at least an original song instead of a pop music montage, but it still went on way too long and felt kind of desperate with its humor. There were other gags that didn't entirely work also, like Marge's nightmare which dragged, and the Ratatouille joke that felt a little out of place, but they at least had some very funny payoffs despite feeling a tad out of place. Overall, this was a very funny episode.
Storywise this wasn't too shabby either. We've seen this sort of thing before, but Marge made it work and it was easy to sympathize with her as well. When the rivalry between Homer and Marge began it was again reasonable for Marge to worry about Homer stealing her thunder and taking what she had away from her. There was a lot of build up for the last act of the episode, and I was worrying that it was going to be for nothing, but thankfully the last sequence worked quite well. The wordplay and naivete of Homer in that setting was very funny. The last scene was quite sweet too, and seemed to be a great way to cap off the episode (despite bringing back that weird joke about the taste buds).
Like I said, this was probably the first very good episode of this year, but hopefully it's not another month before we get another one. 4/5
When I grow up I'm going to Bovine University

Was anyone else annoyed at all by the God of War parody?
I'm really not sure who the joke is aimed at since people that play games would realise that development time is not directly related to game length. How likely, then, are non-gamers to be aware of the development-hell some games go through?
I just feel like it's a smug attempt by the writers who don't play games themselves. Instead of feeling relevant, it just felt out of touch.
Perhaps it's just an opportunity to make Bart look amazing?
Also Homer's soul performing the Heimlich maneuver? I just don't know what's going on in this show any more.
Also it's really weird to see Homer, the character who was always eating to suddenly turn his nose up at different dishes. I mean he drank Crab Juice.

When did Marge say Do'h before?
http://www.snpp.com/guides/dohs.html
[9F09] Homer's Triple Bypass ... Marge, when she learns that the plant employees traded their health insurance for a pinball machine
[1F21] Lady Bouvier's Lover ... Marge, when she finds out her mother is going to marry Mr. Burns
[5F01] The Cartridge Family ... Marge, when Homer's burglar alarm doesn't work
[FABF10] Co-Dependence Day ... Marge, imitating Homer
[FABF12] My Big Fat Geek Wedding ... Marge, after unwittingly agreeing to raise the kids as Klingons
5/5 for this season, best episode of Simpsons this season and better then most of last season.
In reference to the "parodies" during the video game expo, I shall quote George Meyer: "Clever is the eunuch version of funny".
Just caught this and I kinda enjoyed it more as it went along. The beginning merely felt like a constant spoof on video games and gave them annoying names (like the Funtendo Zii) that we are so accustomed to hating. I was not crazy about the Ethiopian restaurant stuff either.
What I did like was that it put Homer in a role in which he doesn't automatically love the food. This works because there is definitely a trendiness to being a foodie, something which Homer would seem to naturally eschew. Character wise, it was quite natural, but also a twist to see Homer being upset at his family's food elitism.
I thought Bordain's appearance was meh, but I enjoyed Gordon Ramsay. Not sure why I laughed so hard when he woke up after having a dream about Marge, but I did. Also, Homer's line about "a kitchen with all the crazy chemicals" was genuinely funny, even though it was obvious he was going to end up in the bad part of town.
Overall, I think a B is fair. Some of the early puns in the episode make me want to bring that grade down, but overall I found the episode enjoyable.
Good episode, it wasn't the best of the season but I liked. I was thinking of giving him a 3/5 but I give it a 4/5
