    The Stuff YOU Really want.

Okay, I'll admit there are some Simpsons items I really want, but it's not the stuff you can just get off Amazon. Here are some items that I missed that were for sale:

    1. The Gold Album Award for "Simpsons sing the Blues" ...

Was actually for sale for less than $100.

    2. "Testify!" -- The Promotional CD with this cover book:

    3. Those plastic car window hangers from the early 90s. Yeah, I had them, but they broke after 20 years of sitting in a box.

    4. The Album Award for "Baby on Board"

This was the actual award given to Dapper Dan (from his website) whose contribution with his Barbershop friends helped create the Be Sharps. The actual Fox promo for "Homer's Barbershop Quartet" looked very similar and was available on ebay from time to time.

    5. Simpsons Promotional Press Kits.

Quite rare and quite expensive. I was in a bidding war on ebay almost 10 years ago for the Simpsons Seventh Season promotional press kit. (I had to back out at $800) These kits contain one of a kind items like CD's with radio commercials, fliers, mini-posters, contact info with people from Fox and other rare stuff. They come in a 30 pound box that looks like a neighborhood recycling container, but have "The Simpsons Press Kit" written on the side in the Groening Font.

Not counting stuff that's autographed, has anyone seen anything else really rare?
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

I know they're hardly rare and probably the most obvious response, but I've always wanted a framed, ideally signed animation cel or two but would only ever actually buy any were I wealthy which sadly is not the case.

Like I said in another thread, I could've had this if I had my own house at the time. I'm sure the landlord wouldn't have taken too kindly me trying to wreck the door frame trying to get this inside.

I saw this years ago at an animation art studio in Beverly Hills: pewter Simpsons chess set (it was $700!): On one side, Homer was king and Marge was queen, and the other side had Burns as king and Smithers as queen...on Burns and Smithers side, there was Sherri and Terri, Nelson, Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney and I think Snake.

I want The Simpsons calendars - I have the 1998 one, and I've browsed through others in the store around new years, but I don't know... it's such rare artwork that you can only buy for one year. It's like I'll never see it again since those years are over. Nobody's bothered to scan them, assuming they actually kept these calendars from the 90s.

Basically any cool, retro Simpsons artwork from the 90s.

Being only 16.. I seem to remember vaguely some 90s products I owned.. I remember owning large Homer and Bart talking dolls (Homer in a Hawaiian shirt, Bart in Itchy and Scratchy), I also had a purple satchel with an angry Homer on it. I do remember having a bendable Simpsons family too. Very cheaply made and painted, may have been bootlegs. I remember having a calender with Springfield locations on it. And I also remember a very obscure product.. A large novelty Bart Simpson head to sit atop an inhaler.. I mentioned it to my mum and she says they were known as 'Puffer Pals'!

When did the dapper dans sing Baby and Board? I have Songs in the Key of Springfield, but don't remember it. Is it just this?:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkAExdaMku8

And they put Homer and Skinner's voice in the front, or something? Or did dd do a cover?

It's very cleverly mixed, but yes it's that. Basically the Dapper Dans recorded it, then sat with Dan Castellaneta to record his Homer vocals.

I'd agree with wanting an animation cel. One day, I would like an animation cel for an episode I really like. As said, it's not like they're rare, so I should be able to obtain one, with the given money.

Hopefully it wont end up like this.

Simpsons Scene It? The only reason I haven't bought it yet is because I'll probably have no one to play with.

It would be cool to have the cell to this particular scene.

i bought it, but i wish i hadn't, for the same reason you haven't. no one i know is much of a simpsons watcher, and the people who do watch only watch occasionally and don't know half the stuff like i do. so it wouldn't be much of a challenge. so i basically wasted my money

The.only thing I really want, though not rare, is for Seasons 3-19 to become available on Amazon-Instant-Video and iTunes.

Entertainment Earth has these stuffed plush Simpsons toys: Ithcy, Scratchy, Homer, Bart and Krusty...I'm gonna order Krusty.

The same catalog also has plastic Simpsons dolls that looks like the stuffed ones. They have Homer with doughnut, Marge, Bart with skateboard and I think Krusty...not as cute as the stuffed ones.

matt groening said that there was enough cut from the first movie to have '2 sequels.' i'd like a new DVD version of the movie that has these scenes, or at least more than what we got in the original release.

besides, this way we get more bonus content, and they get more money. win win!

Sequels are never really better, but the movie would probably receive an insane amount of praise from me, say 10/10, and get a 5/10 later because it really wasn't any better than a season 20 something episode.

What was wrong with the movie? I thought it was insanely funny and of the best quality.
