welcome to the site, newbie.
Well, I do need more views. But I'm on PEELIFIED most of the time, so I don't plan on being on here for to long. I'm a 14 your old American kid, I'm in all honors classes; I like a lot of sports; and I watch a lot of TV.
Welcome to the NHC, n00b! Quality name, Solid Gold!
Trust me, I'm no n00b. I see how you guys may have perceived me to be one. Anyway, thank you Mozy.

New guy here. 23 years old from Scotland and grew up with The Simpsons, it spent so much more time raising me than my parents did. I used to watch the new episodes when there was only 1 a week, every Sunday at 6 o'clock. The oldest episode I can remember watching when it premiered is 'Homer The Vigilante' which means I must've been about 5. Nobody believes me though.
My favourite episode is 'Cape Feare', it's the kind of episode I love and take (funny) jokes over storyline any day of the week. I think the 'classic era' makes for some of the best television in history. I absolutely hate what The Simpsons has become and refer to anything after season 9 as a 'new one'. I know I'm not alone in thinking that 99% of these episodes are absolutely shit but there are a few decent post season 9 ones, but they're few and far between. I absolutely hate what The Simpsons has become and often compare it to how your favourite pet grows old, tired and eventually can't walk, see and shits itself to sleep every night. To me, The Simpsons is dead and if it was an animal it should've been put down a long time ago.
I still regularly watch the classics though, and have come here to hopefully discuss them with like-minded folks. Cheers.

Began watching show since parents didn't allow me to. Haha then became hooked around middle school! I find my self quoting this show far too often and can recall certain conversations that have happend in commentaries of eps. Love the classics! Casually enjoy the new ones and wait for the one gem per season we likely get nowadays. Enjoy being quizzed by my friends with. " do you remember that ep. " lol.
In short with all the grumblings from imdb to snpp you've thought the hardcores relish hating this show. That's not my stance. Casually pay attention and be thankfull it's still around. A gem or two a season ( though bad odds) is still better than none at all. - that wasn't short-
