I guess it's bound to happen sooner or later.
So are there people who would upgrade when season 4 is released on BluRay for example?

Season 6 and 8, probably.

first i have to upgrade to blu-ray
if i could find them cheap enough, i'd rebuy the first 8. If i didn't find them cheap, I'd probably only buy season 8.
Still not a BluRay-player, Miller?

I'm poor right now and can't afford a Blu-Ray player or anything. For now, I'm happy with DVDs. I'll probably upgrade soon though, when i get money
They are cheap now though. Like 100 dollar for a player.

I only have like 10 bucks a week, and i need that for food at school, and anything else at my school that requires money (like a sporting event).
I'll ask my mom about getting one, see if we can 'sometime soon', but I'm not expecting a yes.
I haven't a bluray player, so no one.

Every single one.
What? Too expensive? aw dammit.

My favorite episodes: "Lisa's First Word" and "And Maggie Makes Three"
Why? Because Maggie is an awesome character, and you know it!
I got a PS3 at the end of 2009, so I automatically have a Blu-Ray player (I'm actually really happy about this). But to tell you the truth, I haven't used it at all. Well, I have used It for PS3 games but not for Blu-Ray DVD's. I've had this PS3 for almost two years and yet I haven't purchased one Blu-ray DVD yet
. I don't think I'm going to repurchase any of the first 12 Seasons when they end up coming out on Blu-Ray (because I don't really care about the quality of the picture). However, I do expect Fox to start releasing the future Seasons (15 to 23 or more) on Blu-Ray in France. So I'll get all the new Seasons in the future on Blu-Ray if they offer them on the platform.
At the moment, not one Season of the Simpsons in France has been released on Blu-Ray. But I'm sure they'll start to do It once we get to Season 15. So I'll switch to that.![]()
What bort said. I figure I'll finally upgrade in 2022 when Season 21 finally comes out and Blu Ray's successor is fast becoming obsolete...
non blueray seems like a waste of time and money
I'll consider buying anything after Season 10 on BluRay. I have obstained from purchasing the later seasons due to poor packaging and would hope that BluRay has a better one.
Otherwise none.

Favourite Season - Season 4
Well, I'll probably buy Season 20 - ??? on Blu-Ray because it's native HD. However, if they released all the preveous Seasons on Blu-Ray, too (Like with S13), then EVENTUALLY I'll probably buy all of 'em lol.
none, for the pre-hd seasons the picture change won't be enough to make it worth it
if they record new commentaries, though, i'd buy 'em after they'd been out awhile and could find them used

Season 6. I lost my favorite disc of the DVD set I have and a couple of the ones I haven't lost are beat to hell.
Seasons 5 through 7 are my favorites, so if those were ever released on BR I'd definitely grab them if reasonably priced, and if substantial new features were included.
It'd be funny if Mirkin held true to his promise and recorded new commentaries ON the original commentaries.
well unless there's new features or commentaries, or DVD becomes fully defunct, no reason really. the classic era episodes weren't in high-def. although I would like to see them in their original aspect ratio again and not stretched out.

Unless there's some recompositing and/or remastering of the filmed layers so the picture quality improves, buying the first 12 seasons over again is pointless.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.
I'm not really a fan of this new robot technology (blu ray and hd tv), but if I had to choose, probably season 3, season 8 and season 9...and season 11 (KIDDING)
I love ponies
i have no interest in anything but my interests

Robot Technology!?
None. Fuck that noise, I already bought them once
I'm stickin with DVD all the way through. The only way I'd switch to Blu Ray (for the Simpsons) is when the series is over and the Ultimate Complete Series Blu Ray Collection or whatever comes out, then maybe, if I can get it cheap enough, I'll switch.

Eventually, all of them, I suppose. I decided at some point I will own them all on DVD once I got to 7 or 8.
My lucky find that encouraged this was some questionable pirated 3 box set from Ebay in 2004.
