you have exams when you go back to school?
i have my exams the final week of the semester
i have my exams in december and may.
after the ones in may, there's a month left of school, but that month is like all fun; you can take any class that you want, like sports, traveling, etc. like this year i took two soccer classes, a roller coaster class, and a class on making rockets. you have two of those classes the first two weeks, and then the other two the final two weeks of the year. you can sign up for any class that is available (obviously). some cost money though, i.e. the traveling ones.
it's kind of awesome though because seniors don't have to take any class the final month, unless they failed a class a previous year. so basically, i get out a month earlier. granted, i'll have to present my senior project (which i talked about in another thread), but i'd rather have to do that then continue going to school for another month, no matter how 'fun' the classes are.
january, march and june for me
god your schools suck
Are you still doing those calls for that company, Bella?
not over christmas, but yeah I still work there
I've just completed the exams this week. The next slew will be in May.

Me too. My break is 12 days, but my friend in South Africa's break is 23 days.

what do you do for a living?
I go back on Wednesday
speaking of work, i'm getting a job at a department store doing maintenance stuff. i spent like 3-4 hours yesterday and wednesday doing computer stuff, like filling out online forms. it sucked and was boring as hell, but at least i got paid. don't know when i'll officially start though, i reckon sometime next week.
good, getting a job anywhere is always good; even if it is computer stuff. don't know how people manage themselves there but they do manage themselves there.
anyway hope you survive until the paycheck comes; computer related tasks can become monotonously boring very quickly.
Homerland (3.5/10) Treehouse of Horror XXIV (5.0/10) Four Regrettings and a Funeral (4.0/10) YOLO (4.5/10) Labor Pains (5.0/10) The Kid is All Right (3.0/10) Yellow Subterfuge (5.5/10)
the only time i was at a computer was yesterday and wednesday to fill out online forms. when i start the actual job it's maintenance, like cart stuff, cleaning up, etc
I could never do that; I'm too lazy.
a lot of it was simple stuff, like company policy, treating customers with respect, etc. I'm respectful!
i mean some of it was useful, like if there was an emergency which code I would need to know, or a lost kid, but a lot of it is pretty self-explanatory that it's actually kinda sad it needs to be on forms for the store online to be an employee.
Happy New Year. ;D
Bump; to keep this thread alive.
Anyway I'm thinking of doing something major with my life, my home life has gotten boring and it's kind of hard to get around where I live. Also on a related note, who wants a west-coast NoHomers meetup?
