I was also thinking that, This is defiantly not as bad as the holiday special or In-A-Gada-Da Leela (In fact it's better than half the episodes from the previous half season)

PS. I'll add my review to boost the score up a tiny bit

I'm guessing those review sections attract a lot of dumb pre-teen fans. I mean it wasn't the best episode, but when the most of the criticism amounts to "Too much focus on Leela" then you know it's not worth engaging with.

Not a bad ep (I saw it last night 'cuz I forgot it was on Thursday), but is it me or is Leela turning into a purple-haired, one-eyed Lisa Simpson????

So I went to take a look at the Peelified forum. There's an argument spanning thousands and thousands of words about whether the slurm queen being in the episode contradicts Fry and the Slurm factory.

Well i guess it would contradict because it is meant to be the secret of slurm. But possibly the secret got out some time between FATSF and this but like fry were to addicted to slurm to care. And who cares that it comes from a worms behind, milk comes from a cows behind, honey comes from a bees behind and have you ever used toothpaste?

(Some) people there care WAY too much about continuity and logic (even with really minor things) within the series. One guy went on quite a few posts complaining that the ending to "Cryonic Woman" violates continuity/logic in the series because Fry falls out of the ship at the end and his survival is never explained. And the worst part is the guy arguing with him was even worse.
Two eyes, two ears, a chin, a mouth, ten fingers, two nipples, a butt, two kneecaps, a penis. I've just described to you the Loch Ness Monster. And the reward for its capture? All the riches in Scotland. So I have one question: why are you here?

That's what Futurama is most of the time though. This wasn't a great episode but christ let them do something a bit different now and then.

this wasn't that entertaining. a few chuckles, like leela's first story to the orphans, the spongebob parody (short and brief, but got a chuckle from me), everyone being too loud for leela.. it was pretty boring and leela was annoying.

the scene where leela wins the award reminded me A LOT of Angry Dad: The Movie.

    Yeah, those hills.

Episode wasn't great, it had it's rough spots, but still enjoyable. Some real funny Shizuoka here and there, so it was worth it.

Can't say I liked this one too much. Only laughs I got were from "Popular slut club", Feffernoose's spit-take and "YOU TOLD PEOPLE ABOUT THAT!?".

The plot was something that has been touched on before albeit very differently ("Bender should not be allowed on television", "That's Lobstertainment!")

It just felt like a very sub-par Futurama and also, while it was nowhere near as bad, I'm gonna have to put this in my least favourites of the shows revival period with "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela" and "The Futurama holiday spectacular".

    Just be thankful
