Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

I'm looking foward for the number of viewers to get a boost up, and I'm also looking foward to see if they'll make improvements next season. As a fan, I don't want to see the show die (though I know it will)

Items on CD-ROM and printed materials is just about all I can find that is brand new when I go to a department store or a shopping mall. I am also not counting thrift stores.

Judging by the Homer banner in the background it looks like a part of The Simpsons Ride in Universal Studios Orlando. Likely the gift shop.

Yeah, it is. I was there a couple times. Always bought out all their comics everytime I was there. I remember the fourth time I went someone said "Oh, it's that comic guy."

Maybe he actually thinks: "I'm tired of this show. Let's run it to the ground."

At least it looks like they had fun making it. I hope some of that enjoyment actually translates into the final episode.

Just set your expectations so low, just push them so far down that you're almost walking on them. D'ohmer will like you and happiness will follow.

At this point I'm actually thinking it'll be more mediocre than horrendous, but it will probably get a lot of 1/5 cause it seems to be totally centered around the guest star. I don't like that, but I think it's kinda justified if the star is as popular as Lady Gaga is now. 'Til now it looks like the story structure could make some sense and the gags will be dumb but tolerable. The animation looks good. So it doesn't really look worse than Elementary School Musical or When You Dish Upon A Star. But Tim Long is capable of everything, last time he achieved a new low with the talking rag episode. So we'll see.

I won't lie, Lady Gaga is more of a star than those no namers from Exit Through the Kwik-E-Mart! I mean, maybe people don't like her but at least she's known worldwide.

We have additional information from fox.com on season 24 in which we have a few new tidbits of information.

    The Simpsons

The longest-running comedy in television history, THE SIMPSONS debuted over 20 years ago and immediately struck a chord with viewers for irreverently poking fun at anything and everything. Now THE SIMPSONS has become one of the most consistently groundbreaking and innovative entertainment franchises, recognizable throughout the world. With its subversive humor and delightful wit, the series, which celebrated its historic milestone 500th episode in February, has made an indelible imprint on American pop culture, and the family members, HOMER, MARGE, BART, LISA and MAGGIE, have become television icons.

The Simpsons reside in the town of Springfield. HOMER (Dan Castellaneta) works as a safety inspector at the local nuclear power plant; MARGE (Julie Kavner) tries to keep the peace in her family; BART (Nancy Cartwright) is the mischievous 10-year-old hellion; eight-year-old LISA (Yeardley Smith) is the intelligent, saxophone-playing, vegetarian member of the family; and baby MAGGIE conveys emotions via pacifier sucks.

THE SIMPSONS was nominated for three Emmys in 2011, including Outstanding Animated Program. The critically praised series has been bestowed with numerous honors, including a Peabody Award, 27 Emmy Awards, 25 Annie Awards, five Genesis Awards, nine International Monitor Awards and seven Environmental Media Awards. THE SIMPSONS holds the Guinness Book of World Records titles for Longest-Running Primetime Animated Television Series and Most Guest Stars Featured in a Television Series. Most recently, THE SIMPSONS broke the record for Longest Consecutive Television Viewing (86 hours and 37 minutes) during a marathon TV viewing contest held in conjunction with the broadcast of the 500th episode. Recognized as a pop culture icon, THE SIMPSONS has a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and "D'oh!" - Homer's annoyed grunt - is an official word in the Oxford English Dictionary. With record-breaking retail sales, THE SIMPSONS reigns as one of the bestselling TV DVD properties of all time.

In the upcoming season, America's favorite family continues to entertain us with their wild and outlandish adventures as Homer becomes bowling buddies with a mob boss, Bart falls in love with a farm girl and the Simpsons get cool new neighbors, whom Homer desperately tries to befriend.

Guest stars paying Springfield a visit next season include Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein, Steve Carrell, Zooey Deschanel, Patton Oswalt and race car driver Jeff Gordon. Joe Mantegna and John Lovtiz also return to Springfield, giving voice to "Fat Tony" and "Artie Ziff."

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

Jeff Gordon guest starring is new information.

Bart falls in love with a farm girl sounds like the episode that will be Moonshine River but if it is not, we know they can't stop it with all of Bart's girlfriends.

The farmgirl is Cletus' daughter from Apocalypse Cow so it has to be Moonshine River.

The Gaga clips looked horrid. I dunno but it just looked so...... Looks like D'oh-cial Network might be let off the hook for worst episode of the season.

Shoot me, but I found it kind of funny. Not a fan of the "Don't monster me" dialogue but other than that the absurdity of the final gag , silly as it was, worked for me.
