That's kinda cool though, I'm already looking forward to the episode. Hope it turns out more like Apocalypse Cow than Yokel Chords...

Just a thought but maybe they got Gellar to reprise her role as she was there for the audio commentary for The Wandering Juvie. I doubt it, but that'd be cool...

Well, perhaps that's actually a blessing. We wouldn't want them to ruin the characterizations of the more memorable girlfriends.

Maybe so, but Greta Wolfcastle is less memorable than Laura Powers or Jessica Lovejoy, the only two of Bart's ex-girlfriends from the classic era.

This news is funny but kinda funny

But BIG DISAPPOINTMENT: There is only Bart's girlfriend from recents seasons.

I would have loved to see Laura (S4), Jessica (S6) and Gretta (S13) or even Shauna (S23) but hey, at least they take 5...

Shauna was voiced by Tress, a regular cast member, so she might still be there.

Sure thing, explains why she's been in at least 3 episodes already after all.

Is there any chance that this episode will "sum it up" and put an end to these "Bart gets a girlfriend" plots?

Yeah, I know; I was responding to the post above me until Raspberry oh-so-rudely got his message in before mine.

    Don't count on it.

Just because The Simpsons have been on all seven continents does not mean that they will stop making episodes where the family travels to foreign countries.

I actually want them to visit Russia. I'm just curious what excuse writers will come up with to get them there.

I didn't know the show's budget could allow all the guest stars who played Bart's GFs to appear in one episode, unless they're all flashbacks.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

Well, on the positive side, it's good we're finally gonna get to see Gina again. On the negative side, no Jessica?

I guess Meryl Streep's kids just don't care about the show anymore. They probably stopped watching 10 years ago after realizing the show turned to shit and are now posting over at boards & rec
500 episodes, about 200 good ones.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
The episode "Whacking Day'' curiously aired the same day as Seinfeld's "The Contest'', which deals with a different kind of whacking.

Yeah it sounds interesting, plus I usually like the episodes when Bart has a girlfriend.

The unvoiced ex's could appear in non-speaking roles, and only the ones listed are getting lines.

Also, Bart's unvoiced girlfriend in "The Monkey Suit" could appear in a scene either unvoiced or voiced by Tress Macneille

No, Bart to the future is worst. How can they parody the title of the best movie ever and do a crap like this?

I won't bemoan the absence of the classic era GFs (they should have ponied up for Streep but not tell anyone as a surprise) but it would figure that out of the five girls they choose to bring back they have Bart decide the one he let "get away" was one he never dated in the first place.

There were literally no sparks between Bart and Mary. He simply gave her his cow to save him from being slaughtered and Cletus used that gesture to jump on some silly family custom that they should get hitched. They were NEVER a couple. (Gina is stretching things a bit as well.)

Well, see the problem there is that the writing staff thinks we hate all of them equally. So because fans and critics aren't capable of being discerning with their criticism of modern day Simpsons, actual "bottom of the barrel" writing talents like Tim Long are free to continue their reign of destruction upon this franchise.

I fail to see how Gina (The Wandering Juvie) qualifies for a girlfriend. She was more like of an accomplice, wasn't she?
