If an episode is titled "How I Wet Your Mother" then I fear that this joke may be in it.

    Homer: Hey Ma.
Mona: Homer, good to see you again!
*we then here the distinct sounds of peeing coming from Homer.*
    Mona: What are you doing?
Homer: Oh don't mind me, I'm just bedwetting.
Mona: Oh; I thought you were wetting yourself.
Homer: I thought this was a dream...
    Mona: Isn't it?

I like how FOX suddenly realised about 500 episodes in that they could just use some screenshots from the episode instead of having special promo's made & save some money
500 episodes, about 200 good ones.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
The episode "Whacking Day'' curiously aired the same day as Seinfeld's "The Contest'', which deals with a different kind of whacking.

I still never saw Inception so I get the sense several references will be lost on me. For example, is that thing Homer is holding in the last picture from Inception or something? I was gonna ask why Mona is elderly while Abe and Homer are young in that middle picture but maybe Homer doesn't remember what she looked like at that age or something?

Dream sequences don't have to follow the laws of science or established continuity.

I know, but it would make sense considering Homer probably never even saw her for what? 20 plus years? I mean he knew her as a small boy and then when they reunited when she was elderly, so it would make sense to me that that is how he might choose to view her in a dream.

Yes, it is. I won't spoil it to you. The movie has its moments, but a little overrated.

With Mona dead, flashback episodes could hold a little more weight. The Futurama episode Cold Warriors had some very bittersweet moments with Fry and his dad. However, they'll probably have the dreams as dreams rather than real memories and then theres the pee jokes. Prove me wrong, Simpsons!

We have a new title in the US Copyright Database:

    A TREE GROWS IN SPRINGFIELD

That means there is only one PABFxx title left that is unknown.

It's a parody of "a tree grows in Brooklyn."
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

    Oh...

Still, it wouldn't the first time they did a parody name where they replaced "Brooklyn" with "Springfield."

I think it would be ironic if "A Tree Grows in Springfield" turns out to be the worst episode ever.

Maybe I'll consider it a bad, but underrated episode.

Seriously A TREE GROWS IN SPRINGFIELD?!? No doubt a lobotomised 'Lemon of Troy' seriously what's next? Season 24 Episode 3 'HOMER IS FAT' or perhaps the cleverly named 'BART ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE'...god almighty...

Here I was hoping for a somewhat interesting flashback episode about Abe's history with Mona, but hey the family travelling trough Homer's dreams fits the Simpsons show more I guess. Maybe the whole episode turns out to be a dream too!

But hey, maybe people will like this episode. They seem to like that lame Eternal Moonshine one.
Yeah what's next? An episode about Bart making Prank Calls to Moe? Seriously that would be Stupid !

Actually, "A tree grows in Springfield" might be interesting because if it follows the same general plot as the books, it'll involve the family--most likely Homer and Marge--in random time periods before and just after Bart and Lisa (and possibly Maggie) were born.

The original plot synopsis can be found on Wikipedia.
