    Thank you.
    Gone Abie Gone ?
It's almost the same title of the episode Gone Maggie Gone... [/obvious]
So we still don't know which episode is the last episode of the season 23...

Not only that, but we know there will be an episode in which the plot is "Grampa disappears" and it is safe to assume that it will be that one. It sounds like they just took a recent episode and simply made a one word substitution with the title.

I have a fear that both "Gone (insert name here) Gone" episodes will be nearly identical.

Nah, I don't think so. Both titles were taken from the film Gone Baby Gone, while several key aspects of Gone Maggie Gone such as the convent, blind Marge, heavy focus on Lisa all seem unlikely to return.

Interesting episode titles to be sure though the one sounds like we may get a new child character dun! dun! dun! or maybe it refers to that Maggie goes missing plot we were supposed to have in Season 22?

Let's not forget Dial 'Z' for Zombies, Dial 'N' for Nerder, Dial 'M' for Murder or Press '#' to Return to Main Menu and Dial D for Diddly.

Yes, yes, three of those aren't technically episode title names, but you get the point. I don't blame them for using 'Dial __ for __' so much, as it is easy to make it fit, without it soundly horribly forced.

Roight, Season 24 episode speculation time.

'Penny Wise-guys' - Something tells me it'll be some plot about Homer and Bart hatching some cuh-rayze scheme. If it isn't actually about Wiseguy (I know, I won't shut up about it), I'll be maaaaad. In the episode, 'Homer Badman', the guy who kicks Homer in the face from his bike, clearly has the same voice as Wiseguy, so it's safe to say that it is the same guy.

'So, er, you don't like the old-time bikes, huh?'

The 'old-time' bike he is riding is also known commonly as a penny-farthing.

PENNY FARTHING + WISEGUY = PENNY WISEGUY(S) IT ALL MAKES SENSE, HUH

'Ned 'N' Edna's Blend Agenda' - Well it's good to see that they're actually making episodes about Ned and Edna. Otherwise, you know, that whole Nedna thing they made a big deal about would have been utterly pointless. They're still a bland couple though, and Edna should be back with Seymour by the time the series ends. 'Blend Agenda'? Uhhh something about making smoothies? Shit, I dunno.

'Gone Abie Gone' - Another 'Gone Baby Gone' title parody. Well, apprarently we already know that it's about Grampa going missing. The last two episodes that have had 'Abie' in the title were awful, let's hope it ain't a trend and just a coinky-dink.

'Treehouse of Horror XXIII' - Something tells me it will be Halloween related. Lame jokes aside, it probably won't actually, looking at this year's effort. Also, dont' we already know that one idea for this episode is a Back to the Future parody thingy with Artie Ziff returning? Not halloween related, but Artie Ziff's an entertaining character.

'Adventures in Baby-Getting' - Not a great title, but better than 'The Spy Who Learned Me' (groan). Is this going to be about baby-sitting (a la 'My Sister, My Sitter') or is it going to be about somehing to do with getting babies. Like having them, or actually stealing them. Anything goes.

Okay, pointless speculations (that will most likely be wrong) over.

Bringing it back to Season 23, the episode I really wanna know about it 'A Totally Fun Thing Bart Will Never Do Again'. It better be as fun as the title suggests.

Not sure if these are the 3 stories, 2 of them, or if they're gonna cram it all into their 5 minute Back to the Future parody:

“We do a “Back to the Future”-type thing where we go back to the episode where Homer met Marge, and Bart completely screws it up.

And Springfield gets, and this is a real, you know, theoretical construct … a mini-black hole appears in Springfield and it starts sucking everything in. Also, we deal with the fact that the world is supposed to end in 2012.”

I thought the title of the above was a play on the term "Penny Wise, Pound Foolish" as Homer and Bart try to find a way to save a lot of cash...or, they become demonic killer clowns. :P
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

"Penny-Wiseguys" is probably the Fat Tony + accountant voiced by Steve Carell episode. It makes perfect sense!

Also, this has more to do with the next production season (QABF? RABF?), but I wonder if the recent money problems for "The Simpsons" means that some writers will be cut next season? There was absolutely no change this season (the first time ever?), so it makes me theorize that maybe some of the former "Futurama" gang (J. Stewart Burns, Bill Odenkirk, Jeff Westbrook) will return full-time to that show? Or maybe writers like Mike Scully--the ones who have three or four television shows in production but still get a Producer credit every week--will be moving on so "The Simpsons" can run longer. The program could certainly use some trimming of writing staff.

    "Gone Abie Gone"
    "Treehouse of Horror XXIII"
    "Adventures in Baby-Getting"
finally, a ned/edna episode. i was starting to wonder if they even remembered this.

next year's THOH is the one with a Back to the Future segment right? that might be interesting. anybody here who hasn't seen the BTTF trilogy should probably get on that.

i'm indifferent to the other two titles.

I think "Ned 'N' Edna's Blend Agenda" will involve the marriage of the two characters since they will be forming a blended family.

I figured once an episode where Marge finds a baby in a basket at the Simpson´s door house...
Is "Adventures in Baby-Getting" a good title for that plot or something similar?
    Sorry for my English

    Season 24: Moonshine River: 2.5/5 | Treehouse of Horror XXIII: 4/5 | Adventures In Baby-Getting: 4/5 | Gone Abie Gone: 4.5/5 | Penny-Wiseguys: 3/5 |
