Poochie needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine

It's about time since the character first appeared during season 2.

I presonally would like to see him get a whole episode.

Production code number is unknown but maybe Mr. Homer will end up telling it to us.
Do Homer and Bart go around becoming cupon pimps?
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

an episode about extreme couponing can't be any worse than an episode about food blogging

(that's not a dare, by the way, in case anyone from the show is reading)

An episode about extreme couponing could work well.

It was clearly helped enormously by football, but I still love Simpsons beating Family Guy in ratings even though it really means nothing at this point.

getting 9 million is pretty good for their usual standards. i remember they got a lot of 6-7 million episodes 3 or so years ago. aren't like 4-5 or so episodes from s19 alone like the lowest-viewed episodes of the series?

I actually think some Season 21/22 episodes are still the least watched of all time, but I'm not certain.

In my book they are. I've only seen about 4 from those two seasons combined.

sorry if this is a bit off-topic, but the episode guide on my site has ratings information for every episode since season 16.

from what i can see, of the 10 least-watched episodes of all time, they're all in seasons 21 and 22, with 'four great women and a manicure' (s20) the only exception.

my name's andy, and i have some websites. i think they're quite good.
take a look at nohomers' favourite episodes with the springfield connection episode guide

According to Wikipedia, "Million Dollar Maybe" is the second least watched, and "The Great Simpsina" is the least watched. I think they've set a new record for low viewership every year for the past few.

Whoa, a bunch of off topic posts from the past week just disappeared into thin air!!!! A rogue wizard must've done it...

I've started a preview & speculation thread for Holidays of Future Passed... remember when we used to do those? Maybe we can start those up again. If there's enough interest, maybe someone could start a new ratings thread too.

No reason to keep everything in this thread when we have a whole message board to ourselves IMO.

Fox has announced that "Holidays of Future Passed" will air:
    Sunday 12/11 at 8 PM
    Friday 12/16 at 9:30 PM
    Sunday 12/25 at 8 PM

Before anyone asks - yes, this is the first time an episode's third airing has been this close to its first airing. (Midnight Rx's first three airings were 1/16, 2/13, and 3/13/2005 - 56 days from the first airing to the third one; if I calculated this right, this was the shortest first-to-third-airing before now.)

    I wonder....

In the 500th episode, titled "At Long Last Leave" and airing on February 19, 2012, the Simpsons find out that everyone in Springfield has become sick of their antics and are holding a secret town meeting to decide if the family will be exiled.[24]
    The Simpsons go to Antarctica.[24]

So this would be the final episode the show? Even so the simpsons left springfield before in the movie itself. Kind of a repeated plot.

And it properly refers to people seeing that the simpsons show has been gone for so long.

Got this tweet from Zooey Deschanel (I forget why I follow her): "I am so lucky I get to be on the #simpsons again! table read was so fun I went home & cried tears of sweet joy. A zillion thanks @mrtimlong!"

Not sure if she's playing the same character or not but yeah.

    Probably Bart's new adorkable girlfriend.

I just had to look up the episode she was in, for me Apocalypse Cow was definitely one of the better Season 19 episodes. It would be cool if she appeared again as the same character.

She will be a new character. James L. Brooks tweet this:
"new Simpsons character born at table read this week..Zooey Deschanal made her fly".

^ just saw that too. Steve Carell was one person I wanted to see guest star before the show ended. Too bad the show never really seems to use guest stars effectively these days. Also I do like the return of Homer's bowling team in the episode description.

Sounds alright, makes me wonder if Fat Tony will be absent this entire season though. I could look at the episode descriptions we still know, but eh...

We have more titles from the US Copyright Database

In addition to the title "Penny-Wiseguys" we have these four titles:

    "Ned 'N' Edna's Blend Agenda"
    "Gone Abie Gone"
    "Treehouse of Horror XXIII"
    "Adventures in Baby-Getting"
