I don't know if this is a reliable source but this news article claims that there are six more celebrities guest starring in "The Food Wife" that were not stated in the FOX press release. They are Jamie Oliver, Paul Prudhomme, Guy Fieri, Wolfgang Puck, Julia Child, and Colonel Sanders.

    http://www.foodista.com/blog/2011/11...e-the-simpsons

If this news source is accurate, due to Julia Child and Colonel Sanders being dead, are they going to "Pull a Teddy Roosevelt" in this episode and use archival dialogue from both of these people?

Knowing Jean and his pun fetish, we'll probably have Colonel Flanders making some kind of Holy Crispy Chicken.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

Another bland promo I see, but I do like the character design for Roz.

How mundane, how bland, how sloppy - Methinks it's a literal representation of the shows current state: Empty.

I wonder, who was the first celebrity to play a character that happens to look exactly like them? aside from characters they played in other shows/movies (the cheers cast, spinal tap, mulder and scully, etc.)

Maybe it was Ringo Starr, who hung it on me wall.

Probably Simon Cowell then, as when he first guest-starred in 'Smart and Smarter' he *technically* wasn't playing himself, but 'Henry'.
But then in 'Judge Me Tender', he was playing himself, who of course looked exactly the same as 'Henry'. Logical!

Jane Lynch's character looks like Lenny in drag.

Doubtful - there are probably too many hoops they would have to jump through just for a throwaway line. If the characters have any lines, they would probably be voiced by one of the regulars.

From The Mansion Family, season 11...

Burns: Who's that fellow who always screws up and creates havoc?
    Smithers: Homer Simpson, sir?

    But still etc.
