I hate Ian Maxtone-Graham.
I don't mind Marc Wilmore. His episodes tend to be relatively inoffensive while unremarkable. Usually a safe bet for an easy 3 out of 5 (but rarely more than that).
As for the tandem of Ian Maxtone-Graham and Billy Kimball... I'm not feeling optimistic given How I Wet Your Mother's premise. They did their best work as a duo with format-bending episodes while their last two have been duds. On the bright side, they've actually done good work before which is more than you can say for a lot of veterans on the team.
we have two promos from "them, robot" in fox flash, if anyone has a count can put them here?
Here you go

The LETS robots look WAY better.

If this episode turns out to be even one tenth as good as LETS, then it will have wildly surpassed my expectations.
I'd rather the robots looked like Richard Nixon's robot body on Futurama.
Yeah, the LETS robots are way funnier but the new ones are cute. At least they came up with a new design even though the idea is clearly taken from that episode.
I was expecting humanoid robots but I think I prefer these ones, they are a little more "realistic" than one that looked closer to a person.
"How I Wet Your Mother" has the potential of being a great episode, once they get rid of the piss jokes and enter Homer's memories of his mother. And Ian Maxtone-Graham and Billy Kimball are the ones that can make this kind of episode work...All I hope is they didn't take the same drugs they took in "The Scorpion's Tale" while writing it.
I was expecting the designs of the robots to be either much bigger or basically human so I'm pleasantly surprised but yeah, the LETS inspiration seems undeniable.
I think those robots in Them, Robot look much less malevolent than the ones in Last Exit to Springfield.

Grr...there was some early 80's robot that predates the NES's "Rob the Robot" that look like the "Them Robots", but had a black face around the eyes. I think it might have been something MAC related.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.
This episode actually looks like it's going to be terrible.
I like the design of the robots. This could be one of those episodes that's saved in large part due to the guest performance.
If they give Brent Spiner some solid material to work with it could turn out really good.
Hey look, an obvious pop culture reference and realistic robots... The looks of the robots may be different from what I expected but the episode is still going to suck.

Yeah, let's not forget how so very good the last Burns episode was.
Every episode ever is going to be the greatest ever! Hooray!
HOORAY!
The writers were fools for thinking that would be a good episode.
I don't think I've ever seen the Fool Monty, it looks that bad.
I think I saw 10 minutes of it. I had to switch it off and watch a proper Burns episode (can't remember if it was LETS or Verkaufen der Kraftwerk)
