Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.
I really hope Avatar parody will be more funny than the Twilight one...
An apple by day, the doctor away

Twilight = Stupid
THOH + New Simpsons + Twilight = No. Just no...

about the "bart getting a girlfriend" thing; that segment is parodying Avatar, isn't it? i mean, if so, then it makes sense that either Bart or Milhouse would get a 'mate', like the character in Avatar (Jake and Nyeteri, or whatever her name is). it might not be the most creative thing, but i don't see how that's any worse then having Bart have a girlfriend in any other episode of the series

Insert joke bout tentacle snuggling here.

Just saw a promo on FOX for THOH XXII in which Homer is trapped by a boulder on his arm like that movie 127 Hours or whatnot. It showed him putting on what appeared to be plastic vampire teeth and somehow his free arm gets cutoff...

Amen to that. I was really disappointed they decided to do that kind of episode, especially after "Stealing First Base", when (I had hoped) the writers said how they really felt about Twilight. If they felt they had to do a Twilight episode, they really should've lampooned it more. They made Vampire Boy way too sympathetic.

Ned Flanders as a Dexteresque character. That might work.
I still think the editing on that sequence is really awkward ^. It almost looks like a poor fan-made video.
.
What do you mean? You've seen the Dexter intro, right?
Yeah I know the dexter intro. I understand the idea is to make it seem all "killer-like" and then reveal just an everyday routine, but the way it's done is kind of lazy. It's like they created each scene, but didn't give it a sense of style. Instead, they just tediously put the scenes one after another, and seem to have slapped Dexter's theme song over it. It doesn't blend well together. Even when Ned's praying, I feel like his inaudible speech is a result of drowning out a scene from a past episode, which is why I originally did think it was one of those fan-made crossover videos between two shows.
I dunno, no big deal though.

Deleted Scene: Homer Simpson vs. a Lion Seal... sure of the Antarctica episode

Sorry for my English
Season 24: Moonshine River: 2.5/5 | Treehouse of Horror XXIII: 4/5 | Adventures In Baby-Getting: 4/5 | Gone Abie Gone: 4.5/5 | Penny-Wiseguys: 3/5 |
A Tree Grows in Springfield: 4/5 | The Day The Earth Stood Cool: 5/5 | To Cur, With Love: 5/5 | Homer Goes to Prep School: 2/5 | A Test Before Trying: 5/5 |
The Changing of the Guardian: 2/5 | Love Is a Many-Splintered Thing: 2/5 | Hardly Kirk-ing: 4/5 | Gorgeous Grampa: 4/5 | Black-Eyed, Please: 2.5/5 | Dark Knight Court: 2.5/5 |
What Animated Women Want: 3.5/5 | Pulpit Friction: 2/5 | Whiskey Business: 3.5/5 | The Fabulous Faker Boy: 3/5 | The Saga of Carl Carlson: 4/5 | Dangers on a Train: 4/5
I think the main problem is the boring, rigid animation of these days. The choice of shots is not incredibly cinematographic but the lack of better animation makes it feel more tedious.
It's a shame cause I actually think the situations and the ending of the scene are kinda funny on their own, but the visual execution is a little poor.
Making it faster and a bit longer would have helped too.
From the look of that Antarctica scene, I'm happy they deleted that.
wvah.com has given us a broader description for the November 6th episode "Replaceable You"
"Lisa's science fair project is overshadowed by Bart's mechanical baby seal; Homer's new assistant ends up stealing his job"
What we first knew about this episode is likely the subplot while there is a much different main plot.
"Replaceable You" full plot from Foxflash:

HOMER’S EVIL ASSISTANT GETS PROMOTED
ON AN ALL-NEW “THE SIMPSONS”
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6, ON FOX
GLEE’S Jane Lynch Makes a Guest Voice Appearance
BART’s (Nancy Cartwright) science fair project, a mechanical baby seal, outshines LISA’s (Yeardley Smith) brainy asteroid model and becomes a popular pet among the retirement home patrons. Meanwhile, HOMER (Dan Castellaneta) gets a new and eager assistant Roz (guest voice Lynch), but when Homer quickly loses his job to her and discovers her evil past, he and FLANDERS (Harry Shearer) team up to reveal her true dark colors in the all-new “Replaceable You” episode of THE SIMPSONS airing Sunday, Nov. 6 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (SI-2221) (TV-PG D, L, V)
Voice Cast: Dan Castellaneta as Homer Simpson; Julie Kavner as Marge Simpson; Nancy Cartwright as Bart Simpson and Nelson; Yeardley Smith as Lisa Simpson; Harry Shearer as Skinner; Pamela Hayden as Milhouse; Tress MacNeille as Dolph
Guest Voice Cast: Jane Lynch as Roz
The story of Bart&Lisa sounds more interesting than the story with Homer and Roz.
But overall this episode seems to be good.
Oh God, I hope her past isn't revealed via an overuse of flashbacks, à la 'The Falcon and the D'ohman'. Also, her 'evil' past best not be something stupid. Since Flanders is somehow getting dragged into this, her past might have something to with something Ned sees as anti-Christian or something along those lines.when Homer quickly loses his job to her and discovers her evil past
Uhh, okay... Slightly random...Bart's mechanical baby seal
Poochie needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine
I usually like episodes where Homer and Ned team up....well I liked the last one anyway(Sex, Pies)...so the episode description certainly intrigues me. Kinda meh on the Bart/Lisa story currently.
