he might be poor, but he still has a job to get some money. I'm talking about him losing the bar and not making any money.

but this is probably wrong because from the title it sounds like the 'tavern through time' episode. I'm just saying there's a chance it could also be him losing his bar and going plain broke

Remember, they even joked about this sort of thing in the "300th" episode.
Huh - they really did move the Daytona 500 to the 26th. At first, I wondered why they wouldn't air the 500th episode on the 26th - until I realized (and I checked to make sure this time) it's also Academy Awards night (and yes, they have aired new episodes against the Oscars in the past, but not ones they were "showcasing.")

February 5 is Super Bowl Sunday, so that's out as well.

Has anybody heard anything special airing on February 12 on Fox? (It's not the NFL Pro Bowl, as that's the week before the Super Bowl now.)

No special airing of any episodes known on February 12th. They might use that date (Or Feb. 13th) to start the biggest hype of all, such as the stars of other FOX shows honoring and giving tribute to the Simpsons for reaching the 500th episode.

One such idea is if the next edition of Hell's Kitchen airs during that week, have a Simpsons themed episode in which the challenge is for each chef to cook a fine dining dish that would please a specific character on the show. Except the problem with that is not all the chefs are likely to have watched The Simpsons so you may need to give the chefs some descriptions on what type of appetites the character usually has.

They did such an episode of Top Chef Masters and here is the clip of the food being reviewed by the Simpsons staff. It was from the 6th episode from season 2 titled "Scary Surf and Turf"

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4doFP37eZg

One weird thing about this is that Chief Wiggum, Moe Syzslak, and Apu are three characters involved. The first two of those are quite difficult for devoted Simpsons fans to analyze what type of food they would like and if it wasn't for us finding out that Apu is a vegan, it would've been just as difficult to analyze what type of food he would like.

I remember that from Top Chef. I really enjoyed watching it, so if they ever did a similar challenge in Hells Kitchen, I would be pleased.

Oh, the comedic possibilites--Gordan Ramsey grinning like an idiot and yelling at Homer for screwing up the mashed potatoes!!!!11!!1! God, I can't wait for the screaming moron match to begin.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

Anybody hear any more information about "the book job"? That episode intrigues and scares the hell out of me at the same time.

Fans of The Simpsons, our advice to you is to run and hide: Andy Garcia is lending his voice to an episode of the animated comedy that winks at the Ocean’s Eleven franchise, EW has learned exclusively. In a playful nod to his Ocean’s character, menacing casino magnate Terry Benedict, the film actor guest stars as an evil children’s fantasy book publisher, says Simpsons executive producer Matt Selman, who reveals only this about the plot: “Homer and some people in Springfield have to perpetrate an Ocean’s Eleven–style heist in the non-Ocean’s Eleven world of children’s fantasy book publishing.” Garcia recorded his lines earlier this week, and although the character hasn’t been designed yet, Selman hopes to include a reference to Benedict’s love of fine art: “No matter where he is, he’ll always have a famous painting behind him.” Should viewers expect to see/hear some other big names from the movie? “We thought about going for Clooney, Pitt, and Damon, but why do that when you can have Homer, Skinner, and Frink?” quips Selman. Fantasy author Neil Gaiman also pops up (as himself) in this episode.
    We don't know more.

At the risk of sounding like a fanboy I must say I'm getting really excited for the new season and will interested to see how they pull off some of these more ambitious ideas.

I discovered a new title on Wikipedia for an episode that should be part of Season 23: Moe Goes From Rags To Riches I haven't found a plotline for this episode yet (I don't think there's one available yet).

Thanks blobulle. I am cautiously excited for that one. Could be awful, who knows? I believe the episode " Moe Goes From Rags To Riches" is the episode about a historic journey through moe's bar with moe's bar-rag ( voiced by Jeremy Irons) as our tour guide. I am just guessing that that is the episode in question. I haven't actually read anywhere whether or not that plotline and that title are connected. It makes sense though. Does anyone know what "The Falcon and The D'ohman" is about? I heard that's the season premiere this year

Ahh, thanks for the information horatio huffnagel. I'm pretty sure you're right. It sounds logical. The plotline seems to be sort of strange, but I'll have to wait to see the episode before I say anything negative about it.

And two more guys who got tricked into thinking the show was still popular: Anthony Bourdain and Aron Ralston will be guest starring.

After the checks cleared, the show was as good as ever.

    (Checks will not be honored.)

What the hell is a "127 Hour" spell? Making all of the citizens be trapped under a rock? I BET THE SEGMENT IS CALLED BETWEEN A ROCK AND A BART PLACE.
