When Al Jean gave the list of guest stars, the 4th, 7th, and 13th are difficult to hear due to the combination of microphone echo and background music. The list he gave was the following:

    1. Keifer Sutherland
    2. Gordon Ramsay
    3. Tim Heidecker
    4. mystery
    5. Andy Garcia
    6. Neil Gaiman
    7. mystery
    8. Joan Rivers
    9. Ted Nugent's (running for president)
    10. Armie Hammer
    11. Jeremy Irons
    12. Michael Cera
    13. mystery
    14. [And for the first time (actually third) we're able to get a president] Theodore Roosevelt

I have made an educated guess on the three newly listed ones but I am not going to state them here because I don't want to upset anyone in case they're wrong.

I wonder if the speakers intentionally had this done to prevent us from getting otherwise terrible information?

Al jean does give interesting information about the upcoming christmas episode in which 30 years in the future Bart is a deadbeat dad living in the school which is now condos.

wow, what a boring list of guests

EDIT: The reason I say boring is that I don't know any of them except Gordon Ramsay and Theodore Roosevelt but I am positive that the guest apperiences will be nothing to call home about

'The Simpsons' Season 23: 500th episode, Homer gets 'Lost' and more By Rick Porter

    July 26, 2011 9:35 PM ET

Follow @Zap2itRick on Twitter "The Simpsons" will hit another huge milestone this season when it crosses the 500-episode mark, putting it in an even more rarefied space among prime-time television's longest-running series.

Episode 500, written by show veteran Michael Price and scheduled to air Feb. 19, 2012, will be as self-aware as the show usually is. Executive producer Al Jean explains the premise:

"There's a big town meeting that the Simpsons don't know about, and when they go in, the town is saying we're going to get rid of the Simpsons," Jean told reporters Tuesday (July 26) after a tour of the show's animation studio, Film Roman. "They're sick of them."

Jean also teased a few other episodes from the coming season, which premieres Sept. 25:

    - One episode involves an "Inception" parody "where one dream level was [drawn in] the 'Tracey Ullman Show' style," Jean says. Dan Castellaneta reverts to his old, Walter Matthau-inspired Homer voice for the segment.

    - The Christmas episode, written by J. Stewart Burns, takes place 30 years in the future. "Bart is this lousy, deadbeat dad who actually lives in the school, which is now condos, and Skinner is his landlord," Jean says. "... It's really, really great animation."

    - Homer becomes a Glenn Beck-esque TV pundit and leader of the "Gravy Boat" movement. His preferred presidential candidate is Ted Nugent, who guest-stars.

    - A question about how Jean and the other writers decide which jokes will stand up five or 10 years later in syndication brought yet another teaser. "We have a show coming up where Homer gets addicted to a show that's basically 'Lost,'" he says. "It ended five years ago, but he's like, 'Don't tell me how it ends!' I thought it was good because we're doing it post-'Lost,' and five years from now it will still be post-'Lost,' so it should hold up."

some of these ideas have alot of potential. the lost episode sounds good, as does the christmas episode. it takes two ideas that've been used before and could possibly be a format bender. simpsons christmas stories and kill gill aside, christmas episodes range from decent to brilliant

    possibly something much worse

    Instead of "Lost", it's "Misplaced."

As for the "jokes" that have stood the test of time, they're partly correct--the unfunny material of yore is still unfunny 5-10 years later.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

This years Christmas episode sounds a lot better than the one we got last year with Katy Perry. I find it's a pretty amusing idea to have Bart living in the Springfield Elementary School (and Skinner being the landlore). Thanks for the information biffwestwood. And I have a question: Are we sure that the Simpsons will be going to Antartica in the 500th episode, once they've left Springfield?

I hope Maggie won't talk in the Christmas episode.
    The episode Inception sounds cool.

Inception Parody: Well at least it'll be better then when South Park parodied "Inception": I do like the idea of them diving into Tracy Ullman animation land, let's hope they won't fuck up the animation with HD digitial animation goodness.
Lost-inspired episode: I'm holding off until I see which writer it is but the dynamic of it sounds really interesting, despite the fact of Homer having being addicted to TV shows in "Homer the Father". If done well, it should be a decent, if watchable episode for The Simpsons; though I doubt that the Lost parody would even hold up well in this day and age, unless they put a new angle on it that no one has seen before. (Seriously, like every show has a parody of Lost; even Ugly Americans.)
Christmas episode: Okay, now that tidbit has me doubting whether or not the episode will be good or bad. Skinner and Simpson in a school sounds interesting but we'll just have to wait and see. Also I'm going to take a small guess and say that Maggie will talk, despite the large chances of Maggie not speaking.
500th episode: Wait a second, I thought they'd get fed up during Seasons 10-12 ha! I'm not looking forward to this at all, the citizens suddenly becoming pissed off at The Simpsons does not make for a good plot point and it's going to be ridiculouslytough to handle without making it seem natural or enjoyable. Also Jean needs to take away some self-awareness from The Simpsons, I mean all it's doing with it is saying "Look at us, we're self aware and meta. We make fun of ourselves on a daily basis and break the fourth wall, ha!".

Indeed, and I hope this season will be better than the previous season.

The Inception episode sounds like it could have potential to be really good. I want to see what they're going to do with the Tracy Ullman style. Same with the Christmas episode. On the other hand, the 500th episode doesn't sound particularly appealing in my eyes. I have a feeling that everyone in that episode is going to be unlikable because the citizens are going to act like unreasonable jerks and the Simpsons will probably get into some "wacky" adventures or something.

The Inception one sounds like the best one in a few seasons.
Christmas episode sounds like it could be fun
Lost-inspired episode (If done right) could be fun

    As for the 500th...

I would agree with you, but the 500th episode isn't really meaningless (150, 250, 350 etc. Yes, but not the 500th episode)

it's meaningless when one of the only reasons the show is on is to just keep breaking records, which is pretty much the case here

I doubt I'll like the future episode. I've never found any of the episodes in the future that great. Even Lisa's Wedding was only average to me.

What I don't understand is that Bart to the Future took place 30 years in the future and this years Christmas episode reportedly also does too. Even though I don't take any of the "future prediction scenes" as canon, there may be some other people who do.
