5/1 pre-empted outside of San Francisco?
"The Real Housewives of Fat Tony" was interrupted in San Francisco during the arcade scene (when Homer ducked under the table and reached for cake) for Fox News Channel coverage of the Osama bin Laden death announcement.
Any other cities (presumably just in the Pacific time zone) have the episode interrupted, if not entirely pre-empted?
Not me. I watched the episode in full with no interruptions in my area.
Quiet guy who eats everyone
Not interrupted in Los Angeles.
The Unluckiest Mole-like Man
Not for me either, So when the announcement was made and they returned to the show did it continue from the place it was cut or after however minutes after the announcement took place?

Neither - Fox's news coverage stayed on until 9 PM (at which point they said that they were stopping the coverage "to the network"). (KTVU then switched to a simulcast of CNN for some reason, but that announcement made it sound like all Fox stations were airing the coverage - and for all I know, they did, but starting at 8:30 Pacific, so only The Cleveland Show (which was a repeat anyway) was pre-empted.)
